The construction is actually pretty sturdy on the Assassin's pouch.

The only drawback (in my opinion) is the belt loop. It should have been wider and have less play in it.

IR definitely sags on my belt when I wear it. Those two improvements would have been a good thing.

That's what I use, though!

Jack- you're spot on. It's the "play" in the beltloop that makes the Lowpro perfect. It needs to have almost zero slack- just enough room for the actual belt to go through. Once you get something like that, having it on the belt is a breeze!

I don't think there are any UK stockists around.

I might be selling mine soon though and I'm in Oxford if that's anywhere near Mars?!!

Best.

Agreed. This is how I now carry mine. I have used the Pro Carrier in the past and it is great as well.

Hi Guys. What are Yours suggestions to make the block appear more "vintage" - I guess more rusty so it looks even more impossible to be penetrated ?

Thanks
Tom

Just give it time and don’t polish it. Can't really speed it up without possibly making it look bad in my opinion.

Mine's been kept for more than a year ( maybe 2 ) ? I never bothered to clean it . Performing regularly and letting the sweat naturally make it look vintage . Now my block looks really nice .

Keep it in your damp basement if you have one.

That's what I did (without purposely tying) and mine rusted right up in no time!

Thanks a lot to everybody for your suggestions. No damp basement, but maybe will leave it outside (covered) when it rains or sth, so humidity should do its work...

Controlling the amount if rust is also needed . I am pretty sure the block will not " c***e " as smoothly if it was rusty . As rust will affect the mechanism that is used to make the effect work . Don't know if this will happen so please correct me if I am wrong .

Yeah - I think so too. I guess as long as "what is invisible to the eyes" stays intact all should be fine.

I would definitely NOT leave it outside in the rain.

You very well might screw something up.

Maybe you could just keep near an open window on a rainy day or two or three. Remember that one side of the six will have to be contacting a table and will therefore come out less rusty than the other five.

My basement is my magic storage area, and it's only slightly damp after a rainstorm. My rust was not entirely expected when I just left it there after use.

Since I have gotten my desired effect, I no longer keep it there.

I also keep it stored in the "examinable" position to avoid any problems as mentioned above. Nothing has happened to the workings on mine since I keep it like that.

$50? There's no way I could justify spending $50 on that.

Lol . I guess it is for someone that really like his industrial revelation and the card case to stay brand new . Personally I just keep it in my bag if I were to perform it walk around . Never really had any issue .

Thanks a lot. Will certainly not let it get wet. I know that water can penetrate it. Will find a solution - rent a damp basement Smile
