I wanted to be like him when I was young. It was that desire that determined my constant pursuit to do magic on tv since I was very young. Well, I never became Paul Daniels and the reasons are quite obvious. First, I’m not as talented as him. Second, I found my own route. I’m very happy where I am and I will always thank him for having inspired me. Regarding David Copperfield, I’m aware of the fact that people can see some physical similarities. I never tried to be like him. But also refused to go out of my own way just for the sake of being different. Growing a mustache, dying my hair or dress in pink would be undermining my true self. I also think that David is very close to being the most amazing magician that ever lived. What he created and the way he globally changed people’s perception of magic, well, it is something that should make us admire him without reservation.
