From another post, some folks thought it would be interesting to see a thread showing people's magic libraries. Mine will take about 4 shots to get all in: Here is the first.

Nice idea, ill try to put mine up, I have an interesting story concerning places to practice, and a question if anyone has done what I'm considering doing, anyway:
so a bit of background on me, Im a 14 year old magician , but don't get me wrong I'm a serious student of sleight of hand , magical methods, magical presentation, and misdirection, not all new fangled gimmicks like some younger magicians are, anyway. So I have recently returned to school after going from hospital to hospital with my father , who Has Cancer of the brain ( a very large brain tumor ) it has been removed, and hes having treatments and is back at home resting , so I have no option than to go to school to get some normality. he works in the prison service, over here in england and hes collegaues have said if theres anything they can do to help then they will , and the one thing my Dad wants is a space for me to have to be away from everything ( cancer treatments can be quite horrible ) and practice my magic. so he has asked for a wooden cabin in the garden 5 metres by 4 metres , and 2 and a half metres high be built for me to have for magic and general relaxing etc, and I mean I love my dad to bits, hes the main person whos pushed my magic and constanly reassured me that its good and even with everything going on its all he wants for me to be a proffesional one day, I should say hes not one of these pushy parents that never quite made it so pushes me to do it, he just loves it all. As it would be in the garden and in england, I'm wondering if a bookcase with all my books in it is a good idea because of damp and stuff, anyway, ill try to put some pictures up. |

Bill... my goodness. I have a lot of reading to do! And I love your practice space. Where'd you get that mirror? Also, I highly recommend a book stand if you don't have one already.
Simon, that's a lovely story. He sounds like an amazing father. Best wishes for both of you. I was actually going to post this very thread topic last week! Glad to see there's interest. I'll post pictures after lunch when I go home.
