Totally jump in the Expert book and also alongside it is study Ortiz and Marlo and yes, Lorayne - all very easy to pick up and do.

Actually Harry your work is quite high up on my "things to buy" list. I want something with a more intermediate skill level now though.

I know what the word (intermediate) means - where you place my stuff? Some people new in card magic have told me that they've put together two or three (or more) "sets" from my book, The Classic Collection, Vol. 1 alone.

From what I understand Harry you have published effects for all skill levels. I'd put my skill level at intermediate now, and so intermediate effects are what I'm looking for. I haven't researched exactly which of your books will be best for me yet though. Any advice or suggestions would actually be brilliant.

Go to my fairly new magic website, last one listed under this post. Click on Magic Books and you'll see what currently available. Check The Classic Collection volumes. I don't think Volume 3 is listed there yet, but it is available. Then if you have any questions, etc., you can email me at my personal email address - the first address listed under this post.

Another suggestion for Card College. Robert is a class act and excellent teacher.

This is a great book for beginners. It has a lot of card sleights that will get you off the ground and help you in a lot of card tricks used today. Even if you arent a magician but you play cards then you can still learn a lot from this book. Just be careful and don't get your hands broken.

Ill put in a vote for Bill Tarr's "Now you see it, Now you don't."
Its an excellent beginners book and was what I learned my slight of hand from in Junior Highschool, all of which I still use to this day. It has the added advantage that, while not extensive in cards, it has beginners moves for cards, coins, silks and sponge balls, so you can try them all and see what speaks to you.
It is always darkest just before you are eaten by a grue.

Yer I would say royal road to card magic I read it and its a great book even just as a reference. For instance I learned techniques of YouTube which where terrible, so having clear well described instructions was good for me so I would definitely recommend it
