What are we supposed to see? I don't get it.

Exaggerated features. Look at the cross and play the video. Pause whenever you like but keep looking at the cross. The women will look like ogres or just inhuman as long as you look at the cross. Move your eyes to one of the faces and the illusion vanishes.

Apparently very few people can't see the illusion, Richard Wiseman himself seems to be one of them. Try it in different sizes and distances to the screen.

I just don't see anything that I wouldn't expect to see. When I look at the cross I see the faces but since I'm not looking AT them I can't really see any detail. There really aren't any instuctions for some reason but even with your suggestion that I pause, I still don't see anything unusual.

Guess I'm one of the few.

Interesting find, I wonder if we can put subtitles in the picture, so all you see when look at the cross its one face. so we can "force"/"prime" a persons mind
