I also go quickly through how to make it. If you pick up the dvd I will send you a video on a more indepth tutorial of how to make the gimmick the way I made all of the ones for the dvd. I'll also send you some extra practice tips and I think I have some other routine ideas somewhere on a video that I'll send too

Chris:
Let me congratulate you on a really cool effect. In your hands, it looks like "real" magic. In my hands, it looks like...well, imagine quarters flying all over the room and you get the idea. This one is really worth sticking with to "get it right"...I am really looking forward to amazing people with this once I can get my success rate above 10% ha! thanks again

Totally off topic, but how can Penguin make any money discounting stuff this much? They have a deal every day during the holidays where one great trick is sold for 70-90% off retail. I have taken advantage of these great deals but wonder how it could be good for them? My dad used to tell and old saw (he was a consummate salesman): "Well we lose a little bit on everything we sell" "How do you make up for it?" "VOLUME" Thank you, Penguin for doing this, but I hope you're ok! After the HankLee implosion, Penguin has been my #1 supplier of magical artifacts.

It's a marketing tactic known as a "Loss Leader." They may lose money on the purchase of the cool box product, but the fact that you are already buying "something" and that there is shipping costs if orders are less than $40 encourages you to add more stuff into your basket before checking out. So while they lose on the product, they are gaining benefit by 1) attracting you to the site EVERYDAY, 2) Getting you to spend $, period, and 3) add-ons and other purchases make up the losses and even create a profit. It is a brilliant marketing tool when used properly.

Also at this point they have recouped any costs and made their money off initial sales. Anything else is just residual income.

Thanks Lobsta, glad you like it! yea I have heard lots of people say that this trick isn't reliable enough, but it really comes down to patience and correct practice. Ive seen tricks that have worse odds and you need to either have outs, or work around the issue. Consumed isn't like this as practice can make perfect and there are plenty of outs. Hit me on on PM and we'll talk more about improving your hit rate
And about penguin. were they selling this for sale on their site? I havnt seen it yet.

Sadly, this link has vanished to 404 land. Has it surfaced anywhere in our "real" world?
