Hey friends,

Just wanted to leave you with a video of my new popped and restored balloon effect, repAIR. Both hands are 100% empty both before AND after the effect. Nothing to ditch, load or swallow. No TT. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpL9hDhaMrI

Here's a video of me performing it in an auditorium: http://vimeo.com/28275756

Thank you guys. I've been using this for a few months and keeping it pretty close to the chest and it's an awesome feeling to see other people doing it now.

Brent, sure is. Forum rules sort of prevent me from using "Latest and Greatest" as an advertising platform, but a quick google search should lead you to it pretty painlessly!

I purchased and just finished watching the downoad.
Im more impressed now than I was just watching the demo!

The way everything works together is beautiful and how open and clean looking everything is makes this something that is as practical as I think it can get.

One h*ll of an introduction Michael!

I purchased "Repair" by Michael Kent, and it's absolutely the most amazing popped and restored balloon trick that I have ever seen! The method is marked by originality, resourcefulness, and cleverness in both conception and execution.

I also found Michael to be a very funny guy, and it was enteraining to watch and listen to him explain the workings behind "Repair".

I found navigating and browsing through the WIRE to be troublesome to say the least. Hopefully it'll become easier to browse through all the effects once they get all the kinks out.

In the meantime here is a link to where I bought mine just to quicken the search.

Wow. Really awesome. Perhaps you can combine it with Gypsie Ballon...

Well done!

I purchased, but the download is just a firefox page with info and another download link. When I press it, I'm told page can't be found.

Any help?

I can see how it works....but have to admit, I really like this. Pretty sure you could use it as a follow-up to "Needle Through Balloon" too. For $15 I think it's worth every penny, not only to get Michael's full explanation, but of course, to support him as the inventor of this. I know I haven't seen this done this way before - which is actually surprising, as it does seem like a very simple concept.
Great work, Michael!

OK, I bought the download, and just watched it. This is simply brilliant! It's so easy and quick to set up, very easy to perform, and looks like real magic. This is what all magic should be like!!!
In the final part of the explanation, Michael does all the prep, and then immediately goes into the performance, all finished within about a minute.
Although I thought I knew the method, Michael has actually come up with something slightly different, which I doubt if I'd have ever worked out myself.
I'm fairly certain, now that I've watched the vid, that this can be used for "Needle Through Balloon" before the restoration, although it will take a little practise to get that perfect.
Overall I'm very happy with my purchase, this one will definitely be going into my shows asap.
I give this a perfect 10/10. I don't think it could be improved.
Doug
Just one final thought: I really like the "flinching prevention" idea, very funny.....but Michael, you still flinched.

Now that I've purchased and watched the video, I', even more impressed! This is freakin' brilliant. It is something I will use forever - can be easily done on-the-spot, surrounded, any time you want. Absolutely clean, and magical. It doesn't get any better than this. Michael is a riot! A very entertaining video, especially the end segments Thank you for this Michael! One of the best purchases I've made in a long time.

Wow - thank you for all the great feedback. And to those who have downloaded the effect, thank you! Don't forget to rate/review it!

Jan Walla - I thought about that idea, but I don't think it would be a great idea unless the balloon were filled with helium at the end. Ever since I came up with this effect, I've said it would be 100% perfect if I could let go of the balloon at the end and it would float away. But even if I came up with a method for that, I wouldn't be able to talk for the next minute or so without sounding like a chipmunk.

Sammy J - Did you get the download to work? Let me know if you continue to have problems and I will put you in touch with the people that can help you out.

Doug Roberts - Yes, I know I flinched. Funny thing was - before seeing the footage, I would have SWORE to you that I didn't flinch. But you have to admit, I flinched LESS. So my method is somewhat beneficial.

With the help of Theory 11 I got mine to download.

This is really a great trick, and the video is wonderful.

Michael, can you tip which tape you used for flinching? I'm thinking that adds a professional edge to an already great trick! LOL

Thanks man - I'm glad you got it all worked out. Sammy - The type of tape would vary based on the size of the balloon and acoustics of the room. For instance, a small balloon in a carpeted bedroom would only require a small piece of scotch tape, but a larger balloon in a garage might require some duct tape. For balloons larger than that or areas with less acoustic dampening, consult a plastic surgeon for botox injections.

Tried the duct tape. No longer have eyebrows.

A great balloon for this is at Walmart. They carry the appropriate size, and the bags I bought have the description "Pearlized Pastel Assorted" and are labeled "Way to Celebrate!". They are also made in the good ol' USA!

A bag of 20 is 97 cents. Though I'm still in "practice" mode, these seem to be perfect for this effect. They are in the "Party" section of the store.

What a fun trick, and ingenious!

Yes ingenious and relatively easy to perform.

The video is the first clue that this may be something desirable. No specs or stooges falling over themselves and yelling obscenities. No camera cutaways. You see the whole effect just the way it is supposed to be performed.
At this point your not sure if it may be difficult to perform.

What a delight when you receive it and try it out. It's relatively easy and fun to to perform.

Great thinking Michael.

I totally agree with your comments about the video. It seems that most promo videos these days are full of more crap than substance.

I also agree that once you purchase this you are very pleased with the method, because it is something you can and will do!

This looks fantastic! I'll most likely get it soon.
About it being a new plot, the same effect has been accomplished before using a TT.
