Hey Canadians,
Which is the cheapest U.S. supplier to order bulk quantities of decks from? Most sites I’ve seen have pretty horrendous shipping rates to Canada. The cards I’m after: Bicycle 808’s (not the Standards), Bicycle League Backs, Bee, and Tally-Ho. Why a U.S. supplier you ask? I need them to have U.S. cases (no French, full back design on the back, small barcode on the bottom flap).
Any suggestions? Thanks.
Scott.

Most of the US suppliers are shipping 808 bicycles in the new 'standard' box design. which no longer have the full back design on the back. the standards are 808s - if you look at the barcode on the bottom of the standard box, the last three digits are 808
You do have a couple of options:
Ellusionist Master Decks still have the full back design on the box.
The Mandolin Back cards have a box with the full back design.
Check you local magic shop to see if you can find any of the old style boxes.
We have about 500 decks of 808s in the old style US boxes left, but I do not know of any other supply of them.

Thanks for the info, Phil. I thought that the USPCC may be discontinuing the 'old style' box; that's too bad. I'm not a fan of the new 'Standard' box design. I recently picked up a 4-deck pack from Rite-Aid in the US, it had two Standard decks and two black 808's. They must be clearing out the old stock of 808's with these combo packs.

There are actually several types of US old box also, Jessica was just doing an inventory in our shop and she pointed out that not all of our old style boxes are the same, one has the letters TG on the bottom of it, from what I understand the stock is a little thicker, but these decks were made for the likes of Target and Wallmart and magicians say that they are poorer quality, there was a special batch out of standard decks in the old style box that had a double backer and I think a blank face included, and then there is the standard old USPC type.
There was also a factory made stripper deck in the old style box and a factory made Svengali in the old style box also.
We have all of the above in stock if you need anything.
I am sure there are more and some are only identifiable by the colour of the label.
all the best

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up getting 36 decks (Bicycle, Bee, Tally Ho) from Theory 11. Their price on these particular brands was very good. Even with the shipping cost to Canada it still worked out to $2.75 per deck. Not bad. I'll have to check out Kardwell next time.
