I've been playing around with creating my own blank forcing decks, kind of like Smart-Ass.
In my case, I am using words, not playing cards, so the card stock is double blank. It seems that regardless of what kind of marker pen I use, what brand of re-positional glue, or how long I allow the ink to dry, when I leave the deck in set position for any length of time, some of the ink on the under-card (force cards) comes off on the blank (glue) side of the top cards in each pairing. Anyone else encounter this and have a suggestion/solution? e |

So, it is not only a single card you are preparing? What about writing on the cards, then coat them in two thin layers of Krylon clear spray finish so that the glue does not touch the writing directly.

It is an entire deck of 'pairs' of cards.
Had not considered clear spray. Does this affect the appearance, at all? And should I use matte finish (or gloss)? e |

Matte finish would behave like rough and smooth, it might change the look a little bit. Glossy would be my first choice. If you want to play around with it and don´t want to wait until you get to a home depot just use your RS Spray. The purpose is identical. To cover the ink of the pen with a thin coating that keeps the seemingly agressive glue away from the writing. This definitely would be my choice, and if it works, you will definitely find the right spray for you.
I HIGHLY recommend to spray VERY thin layers, but two of them, because if you spray too much and "soak" the card, the writing will blur out and will look terrible, leaving the cards useless.

Depending on the words (specifically the letters used and needed font size), you will find that old fashioned letra-set rub on letters will work.
They're absolutely ideal, just a bit difficult finding (enough) these days at arts & craft stores. |

These days you can print on clear adhesive sheets (like clear packing tape) then stick to the blank card.
