This a great effect found on NYCMS DVD Volume 7. A credit or debit card is used as a mini ATM to produce four coins one at a time. Well, I have a pretty decent CP but struggle when it comes to four coins; and the routine starts out that way. The credit card is in the other hand and makes a circle---hence the title of the effect. Coin produced in that hand. Moving the card around is primarily for misdirection.
So I'm looking for help, some ideas for an alternative palm. AND possibly different handling of the card that appears to be more natural. (I've got a feeling I will come up with an entirely new routine for the same effect---with a HUGE NOD to Mike Gallo).

I played with it. I skipped the 4th coin and just used 3 in a stepped fashion. That gave me enough control.
I also played with in in the Crimp palm and my angles were wrong...so I'd need to adjust the handling if I was producing 3 coins from the Crimp. Check with Vinny Marini on that one! |

Hi Amakar, I developed a routine with the credit card openly visible at all times and EXTREMELY simple sleights. Very natural looking. More INSPIRED by Mike Gallo's Circles than a revised version. It can be done quick and clean with 3 coins; or very convincing with 4 coins, providing a holdout to go directly into another routine. That last part was a stumper, but I figured out a way to make it VERY simple and convincing. I'd be happy to share it with the community here if someone can show me how. (?)
I don't do magic videos, so it would be in print. Since it is an ORIGINAL routine I'd want it in PDF form I think and, I guess, copyrighted somehow. However that works. Any ideas on how I should go about doing this? I'd like to distribute it FREE to Magic Forum members but also make it available for purchase (for a REALLY low price) in the future. My long term goal is a book filled with a lot of original handling of some of the classics and my own stuff, including some new Okito Box ideas. Thanks for sharing your ideas!

Excellent suggestion to use the skills you have. If you can't do it with 3 start with two. Another solution is to have 2 in each hand, or 2 in c/p in the right and 2 c/p in the left...or 2 c/p in the right and 2 in fp in the left.
Before you know it and months or years later, you will be doing things with 4 or 5 in one or both hands. Harris still too old to know everything...

If you want to produce a PDF with diagrams explaining you moves, I have several options to consider:
1. Take digital photos and include them in the PDF. Radek Makar does this with his eBooks You can embed those digital photos into a Word document and the use a PDF writer like 995pdf.com to create a free PDF file. 2. If you want line art, take those same photos and create a project on elance.com, guru.com or scriptlance.com and ask for some graphic design. 3. If you don't want to use outsourcing, let me know and I can put you in touch with Sandra Kort. Sandra is Milt Kort's daughter and she does all the graphic art for Ron Bauer's Private Studies series. She is excellent at drawing hands and since she's in the magic fraternity, she understands the concepts quite well. Ofcourse each of those options have budget requirements ranging from free to a cost. Send me a PM and we can discuss further. Good luck! Andy I like the digital picture ideas myself |
