So iv been working on my own card tricks and and have come up with what I think is quite a unique slight that iv nether heard nor seen any other magician do and have come up with a few routines and was just wondering if anyone had heard of tricks similar to the ones I have thought up as I'm looking into putting them onto a dvd
got a routine that's similar to wayne houchins french kiss but the main difference is that the cards are all folded FACE UP!!! You get a 3 people together and get each one to sign a card you then fold the card into quaters FACE UP to prove your not going to cheat and then get them to bite on to the cards so to keep them safe, then you do the same as its only fair as they all look silly stood there cards in there mouths and then you all link hands and you close your eyes and pull the card into your mouth and then you choke as you spit out 3 cards and open them to reveal that there the spectators cards and the specators cards are now your cards all signed the second routine goes something like this Effect: You ask a spectator to go get a friend a close friend if possible and if one is not close by. you then shuffle a pack of cards and get the first spectator to sign a card and you fold it up and get the spectator to put it in a safe place so they know your not cheating and then instruct the second spectator to do the same at this point you produce a totally blank card and explain how the most amazing things happen when people come together. Then you fold the blank card into quaters and place it inbetween both the spectators hands and ask them to recall the first time they met and how they came to become best friends and then after a couple of seconds get them to part hands and look at the blank card that was there. Magically it has brought both the signed cards togther and now there just one card double faced with BOTH signatures on the faces. id love to know if theres any tricks like the second one explained above and would love to know what you think about the routines although the second one does need some work on it many thanks jester |

Ow I may add that basically the slight is folding a card face up and switching it with any card you would like and having it stored out of view safely, with no gaffs or gimmicks envolved at all

Jay Sankey has several effects involving the transposition, prediction, etc. of a card folded in quarters.
The second sounds like Anniversary Waltz (Wesley James/Chris Carter/Doc Eason*), although Anniversary Waltz is done without any folding and has the advantage of the spectators seeing their cards stick out of the deck up to the last moment and even seeing the faces of the two separate cards at the same time. *Trying to cover all my bases!

I'll deffiently have a look around at Kay sankey and his effects thanks
Anniversary waltz looks cool but I'm pretty much just a street magician and am never around table an that's why I come up with this version I love anniversary waltz though but the version I have come up with the cards are never out of sight and then are given to the spectators to put where ever you they want The good thing I think about this slight is it can all be done with the cards face up went out last night in a bar and now the manager wants to talk about me doing magic in there every weekend cus of how impressed he was of the second routine hopefully I'll be putting it out on DVD soon Thanks for your help Chris, Many thanks Jester |
