You can definitely get away with the method in warlock
just bought it and it's better than I thought it would be, really easy and provides me with the freedom I want I bought it thinking I would have to compromise on some aspects of the method to make it fit me but I don't, I can do it all the way I want really easily!

I've been using Big Reaction at a few corporate gigs. Typically over the course of a close-up / strolling / table-hopping gig I may hit 20 groups (or tables). Big Reaction generates laughter and applause every time. It's been one of my best investments ever for close-up work.

1KJ Inner circle Warning: We will run out of new tricks in 4385 Posts |
I really didn't care for this effect until I saw Sean's post earlier in this thread. I think the idea of having random, MEANINGLESS words selected just doesn't work for me. Also, the idea of having their selected word circled in the dictionary just screams "forced card", IMO, even to laypeople. It's not a bad trick, I just thought it could be better.
Then Sean came up with the idea of using a calendar and dates in history. This lead me to think about using famous people who have shaped history and having entries in a calendar for famous people and famous events in history. With this method, there would be no circling of the calendar date, just a reading of the famous person and/or directing them to a date in history. I am now much happier with my purchase given this little gem came from it. Thanks, Sean. KJ |

In case this thread gets resurrected... I have Big Reaction (I was browsing the thread for reviews of Warlock).
Big Reaction is great, it's a 'does what it says on the tin' effect - it gets great reactions. Fab for strolling work and about as easy as a trick could be. Adapt it if you want, I've changed the words, and concentrate on your presentation, like all of Andy's incredible work. Now... Warlock? |

Warlock is just awesome I love it and use it a hell of a lot and have made many subject cards up for different outcomes and I use them in conjuction with other effects.

Has anyone made up their own big reaction deck with different things on the back?
I typically only use red decks, but had a load of blue decks that I had no use for. SO I started making up decks with peoples names on, people that I typically perform for. Yeah you only around one use per deck, but hey ho. Better than not using them. Infact the first one I made up was for Dave and I know 6 Daves, so got some good use out of that one. |

I've found the sharpie hasd bled through from the back of the blank card onto the face of the card above, a very light mark, but still lokos wrong. Anyone else had this problem?
Never had this problem initially, used it loads. It had been put aside for a while and the next time Iused it the marks were there. |
