BTW if you are interested in the Prestige cards Walgreens sells them and they have a buy one get one free promotion going on (at least the last time I was in there). Good way to pick up two decks as I did.

Thanks for the heads-up. That's a good deal for two decks of plastics. I'll check it out in my area today.

Re: chrom's heads-up on two for one sale as posted above:

I checked at my local Walgreen's and ALL Bicycle cards are on sale at "buy one, get one free," (as of this writing), including the Prestige Plastic Cards. I picked up two decks of Prestige, one red and one blue, for $8.99 US plus tax or a little over $4.50 per deck. It is a decent plastic card and a good deal for those who are interested in something like this.

I think the paper Bicycle cards are a little overpriced at Walgreens, but at two for one they are a mini-bargain.

Oh........I was just being lazy calling it Bicycle but I thought USPCC was the company and I have not heard of Jarden. Thanks.

I am hardly an expert on this (or anything else for that matter).
Jason England has written extensive and very insightful essays about the history of the USPCC, including its recent migration to Erlanger, Kentucky.
"Is there any point to which you would wish to draw my attention?"
"To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time."
"The dog did nothing in the night-time."
"That was the curious incident," remarked Sherlock Holmes.

Printing on plastic is not the same as printing on card. You can print on plastic with the same press you print on card with, but the inks needed to print on plastic will be going onto a press with rollers on it which are plastic, the inks dry fast and hard. You end up printing the press rather than the cards. You end with a clogged up press and having to stop the press and clean and its hard to clean the plastic ink off. Normal ink for card will tranfer easily from the press rollers to card amd not clogg the machine and will run all day. Plastic is normally printed on presses made for the job. So what I am getting at is if USPCC, or whatever the company is called, bought KEM and Kem are the experts on printing plastic cards and have all the tools to to do the job, then if I was USPCC I would have KEM print all the plastic cards they do. The ink used for printing KEMs is called TEX as I recall.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Glad it worked out for you. The first time I went in the sign read that any bicycle product 9.99 and under was B1G1F so I was able to pick up their 4 pack as it was marked 9.99 so 8 packs for 10 bucks about the best deal going. Unfortunately, they have since changed it and it is only the single packs Smile .
