I felt it important to post this.
I purchased 3 of JoeJoe's Web Spinners before Steve Fearson became the new distributor. Today, I received 3 NEW Web Spinners from JoeJoe in the Steve Fearson packaging with the Fearson improvements at absolutely no additional cost to me. That is amazing service and support. My hat is off to you JoeJoe for your integrity and for a great product. Thank you so much. Best of luck to you with this wonderful product. Mike |

Very welcome Mike. If I just wanted to make a quick buck ... I wouldn't have put my own name on this product.

Barry ... I PM'd you links to the videos I posted. Not exactly "demo" videos, they explain the original "thread tube" ... the Web Spinner doesn't use the putty and makes it even easier to replace the thread. If anyone else needs access to the video, don't hesitate to ask.
I'm not sure how to make a demo video of this, as the effects created are the same as all the other thread effects ... there is nothing this Web Spinner does that any other thread system is not capable of doing. You can float a dollar bill, a playing card, the Floating Rose, etc etc etc ... What the Web Spinner most does is (1) make managing your thread easier, (2) makes using thread more practical in a "working environment", and (3) makes stripping the thread easier - I proclaim it to be the easiest way to learn how to strip invisible thread on the market today and my "blindfold strip" video reveals a couple of the reasons why. So it doesn't really matter if you are an expert thread worker, or you have never stripped thread before - the Web Spinner is going to help you. IF you have ever bought a thread effect and failed to strip the thread ... my Web Spinner will solve your problem. Even a blind man can learn to strip thread with my Spinner! -JoeJoe

Ordered mine from the chaps at Alakazam yesterday. Very excited to receive this. I rarely see so many people praising something so highly. It is rare that I purchase anything without fully knowing what I am getting, but I'm prepared to take a chance on this. From the sounds of things, I won't be disappointed.
I keep my fingers crossed that this is the thing I have been looking for to finally allow me to actually "work" with thread. All the best, Steve

I'd actually be curious to know if anyone has tried stripping thread blindfolded yet?? I can't really say how "easy" or "hard" it would be to learn conclusively, but I can speculate it would be easier for someone already proficient at stripping.
I do know that once you get the knack for stripping it blindfolded, it becomes easier to strip when you can see it. One of the things that really amazed Jeff McBride was how easy I made stripping thread look. Once you master stripping it blindfolded, it is that much easier to do it in the light. Try it and let me know how it goes! I wanna know! -JoeJoe

I tried it. I dropped it then stepped on it.
Stupid blindfold.

Hi - I do a lot of IT animation, and I was wondering how having thread attached to the WS might effect, help or hinder animation. If it's not an issue, I'm in.

You can put the Spinner in your pants pocket, go over your ear, then to your anchor and be able to animate much like a traditional hookup Michael Ammar teaches. Or, you can spin straight thread out of the Spinner and use whatever hookup you already use - using the Spinner itself as an anchor is optional. You can just use it to manage your thread and use whatever hookup you are already familiar with.
As for the DVD ... I must confess, I have not started working on it. Well, I did ... but then Steve Fearson came along and modified the tube and now the material I laid down on DVD is no longer current. Additionally, when I started filming I had hundreds of thread tubes already made waiting to be sold ... since the tube redesign, I've had to go back to manufacturing and have not had time to work on the DVD. Those of you that are familiar with me and my work will already know ... everything I say I am going to do takes longer than I think. But I do accomplish what I set out to do, so it will get done. -JoeJoe

I think you mean "assembly" not "manufacturing".

Just received my Web Spinner this morning. I like it, a lot!
I'm a big fan of elegantly simple solutions to difficult problems. Now I have an efficient and effective way to handle thread. I am looking forward to using this, and to having a good tinker with this over the next few days. Hats off to JoeJoe!

Received mine today, and I must say... I am pleasantly surprised. When I first opened the package I felt a twinge of buyer's remorse; it just didn't look very impressive. Once I started to play around with it I realized how deceptive and brilliant it actually is. I have barely scratched the surface of my experimentation with this, but I am already suitably impressed. Well done, JoeJoe! Really!!

JoeJoe had shown us what it was, so I knew what it would be. I actually bought it based on his honesty and Fearson's rep.
But when I stripped that first thread with such ease, I was thrilled. I've had this in my top pocket everyday. It's SO EASY to carry and use. |

I wasn't sure what I was receiving but I went by the great reviews on this forum and the fact that Steve Fearson was backing it. When I had opened the package, I was kinda puzzled if I had even received everything! Once I learned how the device operates and its functions, I clearly saw how this was definitely an ingenious idea. It's definitely great for thread work and it loads very quickly and easily. Kudos to JoeJoe! |
