What routines out there would you recommend that ends with a jumbo coin? I can only think of David Roth's one coin flurry routine...Are there other's worth looking into?

Another one-coin flurry - Scott Guinn's "Great Scott Flurry". It's a good one in my opinion. It is in his ebook, "My Best to You - Volume 2: Coins". I believe it is still available from http://www.Lybrary.com. It ends with a surprise Jumbo coin production in the spectator's hand, and it works a treat!

Here's a direct link because the search engine there is still really weird - and poor. I searched for "my best to you" figuring that should be good enough to bring back Scott's three books with that name - one each for coins, cards, and close-up magic. No results - said they had nothing with that name. I think you must enter the exact title, punctuation and all!
Anyway this will get you there directly: http://www.lybrary.com/my-best-to-you-co......4287b3bb Jim |

I'm really not looking for general jumbo coin manipulations, but just coin effects that ends with a jumbo coin...

Check out a fun one by Gary Kurtz called continuous copper silver, it has a double jumbo coin finish. Also Garett Thomas has an triple jumbo coin finish in his big coin - little purse effect.

It doesn't take much to slap a jumbo coin production on the end of any routine, and call it a success. If you look around, you can find coins across, matrix, coins through the table, coins through hank, color changing coins, two in the hand one in the pocket, coins to glass, coin in bottle, portable hole, okito box, coins in sleeve, and just about any other coin tricks that end with a jumbo coin.
In only a very few instances does the jumbo coin really fit the effect. Fred Kaps' Chinese Coin mystery is one where the jumbo coin(s) are actually part of the routine. David Roth's "Micrometer" is another. I've published a couple that I think work. Garrett Thomas' Big Coin Little Purse also makes excellent use of jumbo coins.

@Curtis.
Thanks for your input. I know it's not hard to - as you state it - slap a jumbo coin production on the end of a routine...But I want one where it really fit's the routine like you also says.... Can you tell me where I can find your routines that ends with a jumbo coin production? |

Daniel, I have a routine called "Coercive Purse" that uses a standard sized jumbo in a good and effective way. It's on the "Palms of Steel 2: Fists of Fury" DVD that I believe is sold by Penguin Magic. It's also in my Deceptions in Paradise book by Jerry Mentzer, (which is out of print) and on a DVD called Deceptions in Paradise. (I may have a copy around here) On the original "Palms of Steel" (i.e. the first one) there is a routine using silver coins and a large jumbo chinese coin (about 5 inches diameter)that I still use frequently.
Oh--in the Magic Arts Journal, Michael Ammar published Steve Spill's production of a jumbo coin that's just hilarious. You press a small coin onto your forehead, where it sticks, and then you make it fall off and catch it in your hands. You let the spectator try, and when his falls into his hands, it's the jumbo. I've always liked that one.

Doug Brewer has also a very nice and easy coin matrix with a double kicker at the ending. He produces a jumbo coin underneath the two cards. It's in the NYCM series. I don't remember exactly where, but I can look for it if someone is interested in.

I always liked Barry Taylor's version of Shigeo Takagi's coin assembly, with the jumbo kicker as a gag "explanation" at the end:
http://www.barrysmagicshop.com/index.php......s_id=278 No gaffs (with the exception of the jumbo).
Now appearing nightly in my basement.
