I see you are primarily a "card" guy, but I have noticed a few refrences to coin tricks....
What coin magic do you do? The object of my question is to find out a bit more about routining, variety of tricks and patter style. Josh

Hello,
I am a mostly card guy, but I do a few other effects to break things up. Here are coin tricks I use all the time: A Charming Chinese Challenge by Troy Hooser from Destoyers, Quadruple Spellbound by Simon Aronson in his littl-known hardcover book, Sessions, a Gaston Quieto chink a chink that I published in my column, the Stenberg Penetration by Patrick Stenberg in my column, the Paintbrush from my book Magic Atlas, and occasionally a small routine with the flipper coin. Hope that helps, Joshua Jay |

Hey Josh,
Good to have you here. Do you have any reference to the "Apollo palm"? I heard you have some stuff on that. |

Hello,
Actually, I have no original work on Apollo Palm, though I can claim the name, as I published and named his then untitled handling of this fingertip clip. Again, I'm away from my library and unable to give you a specific reference, but I published it early on. Apollo Robbins is not only really great at magic and pickpocketing, but he's also a great graphic artist. I hired him to do the cover art on both my books and used his chapter illustrations in the Magic Atlas. Further, when MAGIC LIVE happened, I practically insisted that they hire Apollo to appear in the show I hosted--I love his work. Thanks, Joshua Jay |
