I purchased Jean Pierre Vallarino's "Ultimate Wild Card" complete with DVD from MJM Magic and I love the effect but unfortunately I have practiced so much that the cards are now quite worn. I also purchased 2 one-way decks in red bicycle to match the wild card (king of hearts) and the other cards (eight of spades)and I use a notepad himber wallet just to clean up afterwards. It KILLS! Is it possible to purchase "Ultimate Wild Card" without the DVD and still get the same above mentioned cards?

It's a wonderful looking effect, isn't it? It does seem hard to replace the needed cards without buying the whole thing again... You might consider the idea of making them yourself, using some of the tutorial methods on making gaff cards. For instance, there's "The Art of Card Splitting" (http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/859) which certainly makes it look do-able on your own. If nothing else, perhaps some of the folks who custom-make cards can make up the needed gaffs. For instance, Martini's Magic (http://www.martinismagic.com) under "Hand Made Custom Cards" or Cardshark.de (http://www.card-shark.de/index.cfm?page=34&lang=en). Good luck! Larry |

Good advice Larry. If you are in the U.S., then Martini or Gary Plants are both good options.

Are the cards for ultimate wild card different from a regular wild card set?
