The sewing is only on the button, which is third from the top and must be detached.
There is a way to wear the shirt normally. I received the tko 2 several days ago. With practice, it seams to be just as good as it is supposed to be, or better. I think this is my first post here. |

The buttons on the shirt don’t necessarily need to be affected at all. I never bothered any of my shirt buttons with my original TKO nor the early TKO 2.0 I have been using. Proper application of Velcro works wonders!

This got the first ever 100% on the review from Dave and Craig at the World Magic Shop. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDZbfYYXlhw&feature=plcp
How ever they really did not like another effect that is also on the L&G thread.

Just saw the review of this on the WPR and I have to say; Why do I have to be broke? This thing looks absolewtely fantastic! I honestly wouldn't mind paying £60 for one of these, despite David Penn's 21 first century Toppit being just over half the price. I think this'll be used in many magicians arsenals from now on

WOW. Double 100%.
I'm not surprised. I use the U.C.C.U. and it was a game changer for me. So the TKO 2.0 has the U.C.C.U. and more. The bar has been raised! |

This sounds like a great product worth its weight in gold. However the idea of it not being ideal for left-handers puts me off it. Without giving the secret away, can anyone describe how practical it is to work left-handed and if adjustments need to made to a shirt or the product. I am very excited to buy the product however if it is impossible for a lefty to work my money would be wasted. Any response would be grateful.
Thanks KE

I'm looking at using the "card to impossible location" for mentalism applications. I don't really do anything with coins. Am I better off just getting the UCCU or is there a reason to go TKO 2.0?

Hi,
That's a good question. I have both. The uccu is less money, and it is a little less detectable due to it taking up less space and being a little flatter. The advantage to the TKO 2.0 is not just that you can use it with coins, but that it is easier to load due to the larger opening. You also get 2 units; one white and one black, so you can use these on any color shirt. The uccu is more portable in that you don't alter your shirt(s). However, Jeff gets around that with the TKO 2.0, by a design that allows you to put the button on the device temporarily, that is you can use your shirt with the button as normal without the TKO as well. It takes some practice getting the card at just the right spot without fumbling when using the uccu. If you are not going to use coins and don't mind working at getting the moves smooth, then I would recommend the uccu -- mainly because it costs less and looks a little better. But I find that I use the TKO more. Also, there are some fantastic ideas for cards on the DVD that comes with the TKO 2.0. Hope this helps you decide. Dennis |

Left Handers will have more problems. I am a left handed performer and use my left hand for the primary moves etc. It really is geared for right handed performers. The only way around it really is wear a womens shirt with opposite side buttons. Or use your right hand to ditch the coins, cards etc. I own the first one and it is indeed amazing, but if you are a left hander, you will get a little frustrated. There is always a work around, but you will need to change you're current handling & use your right hand. I wish it wasnt so, but this amazing device is optimal for right handed performers. Jeff has another winner here for sure.

The TKO and UCCU are not really made to be "geared toward right handed performers". These devices are made to work on mens' shirts, and mens' shirts that are made in way that favors right handers. Unfortunate yet reality. The devices fit mens shirts exactly the way the shirts are made, which means that there are certainly some workarounds that left handers can use but they are just that - workarounds. Not much that any manufacturer can do with that IMO.

Technical question: I wear a three-piece suit. Given the open suit jacket and buttoned-up waistcoat (vest), is the TKO 2.0 even an option for me? Would it work?
|
|||||||||
dduane Special user Bridgewater, MA 784 Posts |
That depends on the design of the vest. The uccu would probably work as it uses 2 buttons. The TKO uses 3 buttons and also needs 4-5" of space below it's bottom button as well, so I doubt it would work. You could ask Jeff Kaylor on his site.
