For those who were around five years ago, you may remember Mojo and the special deal offered to Café members. Now, in conjunction with the release of The Complete Mojo, all 12 issues in one re-typeset volume, Café' members are being offered an even more special deal. The original price of all 12 issues was $120. Subscribers received all 2 issues at $100. Publication price for The Complete Mojo will $80 but Café members will receive The Complete Mojo, 250+ pages plus a complete Index and detailed Table of Contents, at half the original price, just $60. You must mention that you are a Magic Café' member and orders must be received by July 31st, 2012.
As a bonus, we are considering releasing The Complete Mojo as a hard cover book. Orders will be accepted but no money will be accepted for the book, as it will only be printed and bound if there are sufficient orders to justify doing so. As was promised when Mojo was published, subscribers, many of whom were Café' members, will receive the book, if it is published, at cost plus shipping. Café' members who order the book pre-publication will receive a 25% discount off the suggested retail price. Remember, no money will be accepted for books until sufficient orders have been received to justify printing and binding. Finally, as a reminder to those who were around when Mojo was published or for those who aren't familiar with the exceptional quality of the material Mojo contained, the following list of the contents should serve to whet your appetite. 1-2-3 Rise 1-2-3-4 Rise 4 Story ElevAces Ace Producer Revisited Amazing Disposable Wallet Any Second Middle AutoCraft Back Maker Beveled Whisper Bottom Deal Beveled Whisper Middle Deal Beveled Whisper Second Deal BRJ Tabled Shift Chang Change Child’s Ancient International Box Crunch’em If You’ve Got’em Count-Revertable Aces Da Brooklyn 8ces Diamond Shift Stratagem Domino Cards Drop Pass Eagles of Ishtar Etymology of Uppity Fake Reverse Reverse Redux Flight of Amelia Friedhoffer’s Ring Toss Funky Jazz Aces Half-Way Passed Malini H-Ace-tory I Think You Thunk I’ve Got a System Jack in the Box Jazz Transform May the Force Triumph With Ossip My Universal Card No Questions Asked II Nova Sight Olive Oil on the Side Original Stone Dice Routine Out of Sight Discernment Packet of Ten Poppy’s Playboy Prophecy Progressive Ladies Reset Meets Below Zero Minus None Reset Wild Card Rubber Meets Houdini Slip Pop Knot S Collins meets Progressive Aces Ten Card Hold’em Deal They’re Never There Tiger in the Bush Tippler’s Flush Trans-Warp Transpo TreAce Sheik Two-phased Ace Producer Ungaffed B’Wave Viagran Cork Visible Twist Waterfall Blatancy Why Knot Your Knot You See, I’ll Remember Dozens of contributors and all top quality material. |

I'm a little confused Wesley, what do you receive for $60, a hardbound book?

Quote: Pablo, here's the contents of a few of the issues:
On 2012-07-11 06:41, pabloinus wrote: Mojo, Volume 1, Issue 1 1. Tippler's Flush, by Wesley James -- Based on an idea from Ron Zollweg, the performer makes a prediction by removing a card from the deck and placing it aside. He then removes all the black cards from the deck and, at the direction of a spectator, mixes them in a face-up/face-down condition. The prediction is shown to reveal the number of face-down cards, which are then turned over to reveal a Royal Flush. 2. Tiger in the Bush, by Wesley James -- A variation of William McCaffrey's Prizewinner, made popular in Eddie Joseph's Premonition. This version can be done 100% impromptu with a borrowed deck. The only requirement is that the deck is complete. Any card can be named -- there is no restricted choice. The title is explained as part of Wes's presentational hook. 3. TreAce Sheik, by Wesley James -- An addition to the Reset genre, based on ideas from Lee Asher and Aaron Fisher. The four aces instantly transpose with the four kings. Mojo, Volume 1, Issue 2 1. Ace Producer Revisited by Randy Wakeman and Wesley James -- Using Marlo's Ace Producer as a starting point, this handling of the Sleeve Aces plot provides a simple set-up as well as a simultaneous double production of the two final aces. 2. Funky Jazz Aces by Wesley James -- A handling which Wes has kept to himself for close to 35 years, it includes a several presentational and technical touches not seen anywhere else. One one of those touches greatly increases the conviction that each ace is where it is supposed to be before it travels. 3. Jazz Transform by Wesley James -- More on Jazz Aces, this time with a double-kicker ending. 4. I Think, You Thunk by Wesley James -- The performer divines three cards merely thought of by spectators. Includes thoughts on justifying procedures that may at first seem less-than-logical. 5. Poppy's Playboy Prophecy by Wesley James -- The first non-card item to appear in the magazine. A large glass full of coins of various denominations and dates is mixed up and a spectator chooses one of the them. The performer correctly divines both the denomination and the date on the coin. Note that a significant sampling of the coins are dumped into the spectators hand and he may freely examine them to see that they truly do represent a wide variety of dates and denominations, and that the coins are very fairly mixed by shaking them between two glasses. Mojo, Volume 1, Issue 3 1. Visible Twist, by Wesley James -- Wes's variation of Hollingworth's Waving the Aces, which keeps the hands within the upper-torso frame. 2. No Questions Asked II, by Randy Wakeman -- Randy's take on Marlo's Amazing, Isn't It?, which derives from Mental Discernment/Out of Sight, Out of Mind. Includes a detailed history of the 'Think-a-card' plot, as well as thoughts on limiting the selection. As the title suggests, no questions are asked until the card has apparently already been located. 3. Out of Sight Discernment, by Wesley James -- Wes's refinements on Randy's effect. 4. Nova Sight, by Matt Sedlak and Wesley James -- A variation on Walton's Oversight, where the four aces visibly vanish when dropped face-up upon the deck, only to be discovered when the magician deals out several poker hands, and all the aces appear face-up in his own hand. 5. I've Got A System, by Carl Albright -- A presentation for John Kennedy's Red Black, which gives three successive reaction points at the climax, each building on the one before it.

The content of Mojo was primarily cards--they are my first love in the area of close up magic--but there is also quite a it of non-card material, but all the material is close up oriented. Motown's listing of contents is very abbreviated but a reasonable representation of the card material in the first three issues. Some of it is fairly easy, albeit powerful, while some of it is technically challenging, but quite performable if you're willing to put in the work.
The current release in a completely re-typeset version of all the material that appeared in the 12 issues that were released. The original release was in a small type font, since it was designed to be read on screen in Adobe Acrobat Reader, and could be enlarged to any size one might desire. The current release, The Complete Mojo, is set in a larger type font for easy reading on e-book readers or it can be printed to make the content portable. It is not a hard cover book. I am accepting orders for a hard cover version of the material but I am not accepting payment, as I am unsure if there will be enough orders for the hard cover version to justify printing and binding. I will notify those who place orders if/when a hard cover version will become available. Wesley James |

Only four more days until the deal on The Complete Mojo ends. This may be the best bargain you'll see in quite some time. Those who've received the material in the new format are raving about it.
