I just don't get it. Why do some magicians seek trouble? I understand we are suppose to keep people happy with entertainment. But where does the negligence comes in throughout a magician's life? Would you consider that person to really be a magician?
The Magic Café is all about "Magicians Helping Magicians". Why do certain members join eager to start trouble? |

Hey Mike,
I don't believe it has anything to do with being a magician. I think it's 3 things: -Ego, -always having to be right, and -always having to have the last word/not knowing when to shut-up. You put 2 people together with these characteristics/traits and you will have trouble...I guarantee it. Wolly

Mike,
I know Tony from another thread in penny, and he is a trouble-maker. (read this thread: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......=15&154) I don't see what you could have done wrong, I only speak of this thread. But I know you from over here in the food for thought forum, and never had a flamewar with you. So it isn't you. If my opinion counts. Greetings, Cirrus |

Mike:
I concur about your post...I didn't see anything particularly inflammatory about it. It just looked like you were doing what you said, looking for review of product. Like...sheesh! I also tried to find the other posts that were supposed to be sooooo particularly negative and couldn't so maybe they are gone now. In any wise the initial response to your request seemed way over determined and kinda like very badly done mentalism...I mean, from your post contextually HOW did they KNOW what you were trying to do? There is the reading of legitimate subtext and then there is "imagining something that is not there". Best regards,
Brad Burt

Maybe some folks are not aware of positions like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJ0_IlD7c14

Is starting a thread to complain about snarky threads ALSO a form of "looking for trouble"?

Dunno, would you provide a link to what you feel is a really snarky thread for folks to "ooh and ahh" over? How about a few so we can start on a ratings system like "snaps"?

This thread is boring, and whatever dynamike is asking, his link has been nullified. However, I remember a few months back when this Brit with a very dry sense of humor showed up on the Café and nothing he did could please dynamike. I remember reading a similar thread back then from dynamike, about how awful some people are.
