Not sure if this is the right section or not but as it uses a gaff coin I'd thought I'd put it here.
Most of us are familiar with the Raven. I've read that it sits in the bottom of most peoples drawers due to the fact that getting ready to use it isn't always practical. Well, I'm posting this to find out how many of you would be interested in a method I have so that you can have it ready to use in a second plus - you'll be able to use the dirty hand as it were beforehand & it will be seen empty. |

Hi Russell,
My raven has never been in the drawer, and, if properly adjusted, is really quick and easy to get into. (1 or 2 seconds for me) There is, of course, the clean hands display that owners will be familiar with, but I don't use it personally. Are you thinking of commercially releasing your ideas or sharing them? No judgement either way! Best, Tom |

Tom,
Not sure as yet. Just wanted to see how many people would want or use it initially. Ref the clean hand display that's on the Raven DVD - mine is completely different in that you can use the hand & display it naturally without doing 'the move'. Glad you already have a workable set up. Can you set up in front of a spectator? I also have a very strong effect for it that I've not seen anywhere else. |

Hi Russell,
Yes, I can set up in front of spec, but would be very interested in your handling: it sounds intriguing! |

Ok Tom. I'll let this thread run for a few days first to gauge the interest level.

Sure, I'm up for looking at a new technique for the Raven. Not sure if I'd pay money for it without seeing it in action, but that might expose it to those already familiar with the Raven. Kind of a Catch-22.

As the Raven isn't mine I'm not sure whether I could even sell my handling Dai.
Making money isn't on my radar. Just curious to see how many people would be interested first. |

I am always interested in something practical. I like the Raven and would enjoy playing with a twist on it.

Talk like this should be in the secret sessions section.

Please PM me and I'll give you my postal address so that you can write it down for me - in secret code obviously, as my postman could easily be a 'Fifth Columnist' Rest assured, I'll eat the paper as soon as I've read it.

Don't worry about exposure guys. I'll let this thread run for the weekend to see if anybody else jumps in & then I'll PM you all next week with my idea.
For those of you that have no trouble getting ready in front of a spectator already then you may not gain much from this. I will however include a bonus trick that uses the Raven that you will like. Both ideas are very simple. Regards Russell |

I'd be interested in what you have to share but not on a YouTube video. There's too much exposure on there.

I am very interested. My Raven, which I received from my father's collection, has yet to be used in any of my table hopping/ close up performing. I would appreciate any suggestions which enable it to be used in this type of situation. I hate having magic collect dust. Thanks in advance for sharing your ideas.
