Colin McLeod's routines (there are two) on his penguin lecture take the whole concept to a different level. I do not want to expose methods here but it turns a typical which hand type of effect popularized by the great DB into an amazing confabulation effect.

I forgot to mention that you can even use a certain type of poker chip and present a strong casino themed confabulation type of effect combined with elements of pseudohypnosis and suggestion. PM for more.

I'm not open to comparing the differences between SS 2.5 and Scan3D on an open forum here. I suggest you do your own research.
SS was tops for many years - and was very reliable and quite solid. Scan3D is now the state of the art and the choice of most pros.
