Daryl's Encyclopedia Of Card Sleights volume 8 covers the hot shot cut in a lot of detail (Daryl's method anyway!). Great learning source!

I don't think Daryl covers it in great detail at all. It's done really quickly and without much attention. I watched it, got the idea behind it then went away for a couple of days and practiced it and adopted my own way.

I've seen it explained in Daryl's Encyclopedia of Card Sleights Volume 8, Gregory Wilson's Card Stunts, Cultural Exchange one, and an easier version in the Art of Astonishment books, volume 3 I believe.

The AOA version has the half of pack doing a 180 spin, while the Daryl version, I believe does a 360. Personally, I only learned the 180 from the PH book. Looks good and accomplished the same thing.

Yes the hot shot cut is very good. LEARN IT yes. Oh, but try to avoid the one that starts with a revolution cut. Too much fancy for me.

It is great! Daryls. I also I just heard that Daryl himself is going to teach his original handling on the upcoming Superhandz Xtreme beginners DVD.
