Russ at http://www.rsvpmagic.com is taking pre-orders
It's also available at http://www.magicshop.co.uk You know, there's no reason why the ice block has to be square. Might be fun to play around with making different shaped ice blocks to produce : Hearts, diamonds, clubs etc or just something funny...

MMM I should of read Jamie's smashing reveiw first, worried I may not be able to pull this one off?,i am not that good at slieght of hand but it is time to practice ,practice practice and get it right,i have had a few idea's running around my head and a torn card idea has come to mind, so can 't wait to play about with it.To have ice on your person and not melt in your pocket is one good reason to have it for sure.

Hi guys slight of hand wise it not to hard like anything its practice and trust in your own ability to pull this off.
This is worth the hard work, those reaction that you saw on the demo that's what I get every time I do this whether I am in a bar the streets or in a corporate environment this never fails to get reactions I crave and what we as magician are all looking for don't be afraid to take your magic to the max ( A little cheesy at end couldn't help my self) Kind Regards Kieron |

JamieD, thanks for that detailed review and your own personal thoughts on the coin to ice cube vs. the solid ice production.

Not sure if this has been raised on this thread, but if the ice is used for repeat workaround performances and handled by multiple spectators, does the DVD discuss hygiene, cleaning of the ice after eat performance. I know I wouldn't want to be touching a piece of ice after knowing someone else has touched it.
I have no doubt that this is a reputation ala Cris Angel/David Blaine/Dynamo making effect but I just want to make sure that the hygiene aspect has been raised and discussed. Most of us are already pulling out dirty ropes for professor's nightmare, sponge balls that lye in your sweaty pockets and ppl's hands for months on end ( I hope ppl clean their's or replace them with new ones regularly), having a dirty block of ice passed around would be icing on the cake. If it is discussed on the dvd, perfect, my order will be in direct to RSVP, I've been meaning to buy child's play for a while so I can kill two birds with one stone. Baobow |

Hi Baobow good question the ice actually never gets dirty and you never put in any ones drinks I have never had a problem with this in all the years I have done this hope that put your mind at rest and if it was a concern you could always carry more ice but to be honest its not needed.

I never worry about the props used. I carry these little postcards that list the FDA's guidelines of acceptable levels of fly eggs, rat feces and other 'natural" ingredients allowed in our food supply. Anytime someone balks at touching a prop because it "might not be clean", I give them one of the cards and watch their facial expression as they read it.

Baobow, are you being serious? It's ICE! Aka water. That's used to wash your hands. Plus it melts so that top layer of "dirty water" would be cleaned away. Defo would love to see one of your gigs when you sterilise your hands after ever effet or sime can't use coins because they are just to dirty!

I have sent away for a gaget that drycleans your deck of cards.
From now on I will use it after each table or group of people I perform for. I have also invested in some stickers which I will add to each chosen card, informing the lay public that the chosen card has been steralised. Also I have a friend who is a nurse, and she has managed to obtain a badge for me which I am going to wear at all times. The badge asks people to ask me if I have washed my hands. Also, I must add that when I perform Childs Play I don't use a real child, instead I use a artificial one and it has been steralised as per Chris's instructions on the dvd. Mike Donoghue ps, please tell me the earlier post was just a joke. |
