When working with children, especially children as assistants, I think it's always a good idea to stress scissor safety: "Always carry scissors by the point end, not by the handles. (etc)" Than hand them these:

Is that you Roger?
I know of no one that would pitch your products but you Roger. Don't worry your secret is safe with me.

$25 for a modified 40 cent scissors. I guess its a lot of labor to glue scissor handles over the points.
This is a good lecture suggestion, not a product.

I have to disagree with the OP. As a magician one is hired to present a good show, it is not anyone's job or intention to take the role of the parents of the children, and tell them what to do, and what not to do. It may not be appreciated by the person hiring the magician or the parents.
If you are getting the kids to laugh and yell, and have fun, how would they know if you were being serious or just joking with them. Then you pull out your joke scissors and they know you are just kidding. So they won't take you as an authority for practical advice anyways. If the show was a safety show, that is another story, but to just throw out do's and don'ts is not good. |

I have a pair of Rogers scissors, I highly recommend using them, but Roger is just a shameless huckster, and he pitches like he is running for office.

In my mediaeval act I amusingly threaten a child with a pair of scissors. A very large pair of scissors at that. So teaching scissor safety isn't my primary concern.
But thanks for the Ridiculous Offer
