Hi Guys and Gals
I have for ever used a standard pipe and drape type back drop system for all my shows whatever the size as its so adaptable, but its a lot of work to put up and take down and a lot of work to transport , there so many new pop light weight backdrop systems on the market today has anyone tried anything new? It needs to work for all size venues from schools to church's even theaters and from a stand up show to a full illusion show look forward to any ideas or feedback on something you are using |

Can't go wrong with Spyder. It's not cheap, but an easy set up and high quality.

Then there is my OCD backdrop (Obsessive-compulsive disorder)
It is made from three 10X15 Easy up canopy's. Has a pocket stage area with wings and backstage area, great for simple illusions *** And doubles as canopy's for my backyard parties *** Click here to view attached image. |

I bought two trade show pop up displays from e-bay and then had "One Way Street" company make me the curtains for it. Set up in just a few minutes and I have a great 20' back drop for less tha $500.00 It works and looks just like a spider backdrop.

I am currently using a shows to go backdrop. Mine is 12ft long which is the largest you could do by yourself. Takes about a minute to set it up.

I like mine a lot. I have been setting up with my assistant/fiance so I have never had to do it completely solo but I could if I needed to with a little effort (10ft would be easier for solo). Together we have it set up in less than 1 minute. Tear down is probably two minutes total with rolling the fabric.
It packs down into a large duffel bag 1ftx1ft and 3ft long. |
