Don't ya hate that "magic is still in boxes" thing? I moved twice in the last year and a half and I'm still unpacking. Have found things I didn't even remember buying and have found two of some things...that's really bad.
Like Bonnie Raitt said, "I miss Little Feat more than I miss being 8 years old." Thanks for the concerts + recordings, Lowell, Richie, and Paul!

[quote] If you have not had the necessary experience comments of the type of "No, you tell me the value" etc may worry you so be prepared for this (the finale is worth it). A friendly non-challenging presentation should get you over this problem with a comment such as "you'll see in a minute why it does not matter if you tell me the value" etc.
When I perform another trick I have to do this. I always say as a joke "Actually I've done this before I know this is how it's supposed to go, at least that is what the book says." They usually chuckle a little and that disarms them. I don't mean to be off topic but I hope this helps some. I don't own the wallet but it sure sounds like something I'd like! |

O.K., I've had some experience using the Predator wallet for the "Pyscho Killer" routine (the one with the bills). I'd like to report that I've had lots of favorable reactions. Now that I'm proficient at naturally getting out the bills (no fumbling, especially on the last bill) it's been fun to perform.
I haven't used it as part of my standard sets, but rather as a special something extra once in awhile. This is sort of like the way I treat the Invisible Deck. I don't pull it out every time I perform, but I always have it on hand for a strategically placed miracle. |

I know this a quality item, but does everyone that uses it, can you say you get a better reaction to card to wallet? If it's the same, than is the $200+ price worth it?

It's definitely not worth the $200 plus bucks...
It's worth a lot more! I LOVE card to wallet, however; I close most of my card sets with my Barry Price Card to Wallet (which was about the same price as The Predator) or with a Mullica wallet. Which effect is stronger?? I think that it's hard to say. In my opinion they're both miracle class tricks. If I could only carry either a card to wallet or a Predator Wallet, then I'd go for the card to wallet because I'd use it more. Luckily I don't have to only carry one. I like having The Predator on me for the variety. I don't perform it as often as card to wallet, but having a mentalism routine available for the right time is kind of nice. If you're only going to buy one wallet, go for a Mullica wallet. However, there's no law that says you can't have more than one. Just don't perform more than one wallet trick per group, unless there's a logical reason to. I've seen some guys pull out a different wallet for 4 or 5 tricks. What's up with all of those wallets? |

Wilson's Psycho Killer is unbelievable! I would have paid more for the Predator wallet. Psycho Killer gets my vote for best trick in 2003!

I just added Predator to http://www.25offmagic.com. There's a new setup for Psycho Killer that Paul liked, that makes the effect easier to do.

Id like to know about the other effects possible with this wallet. Can the wallet really be used as a multiple out for say 26 cards in the deck? Wouldn't this make the wallet rather bulky? any thoughts..

The wallet is made VERY, VERY thin so when it is loaded with outs it looks like a normal wallet.

Anybody received a wallet from the latest batch?
Is it made of black smooth leather now - any other improvements (credit card slots)? Thanks :thanx: |

Just received mine and it is black, smooth, soft leather. I think it has always has the credit card slots. They are on both sides. It is an amazing tool. Definitely as strong as advertized. Would respectfully disagree with Slydini. For those who carry really thin wallets this is not thin. (With a credit card on each side and fully loaded with bills mine measures = 3/4 of an inch thick.) However it absolutely looks like a typical hip wallet.

Would respectfully disagree with wcb39. For those who carry really thin wallets this IS thin when NOT loaded. With a credit card on each side and fully loaded with bills mine measures = 1/2 of an inch thick. It really does look like a typical hip wallet when loaded.

I guess the smoth leather is from the 3rd batch. Mine is with black snake skin, I'm a bit disapointed because the smooth one pleased me much much more :-(
What do you prefer best snake skin or smooth leather ? Smooth leather is more usual and make people less suspicious on the wallet. Seriously how many people you know have a snoke skin wallet. I could be a nice thing if we were able to upgrade our predator for less than another 275 $. |

Are there 26 outs? Would love to know the answer. I'm a wallet afficionado. My two favorites are the "Miller Miracle Wallet" and especially Peter Scarlett's
"Pimpernel Notecase" How do they compare with the "Predator"? Thanking you, Gerard |

Without going into too much detail, there aren't 26 separate compartments, but one could easily create 26 "outs" using this utility device. Hope this helps.

Thanking you MJ Marrs, for your prompt reply.
I gather then, to do the effects described with the "Predator" wallet, the "Pimpernel Notecase" would not work? I'm asking, since I would'nt want to purchase another wallet, if I have one that would suffice. Please let me know. Thanking you, Gerard |

I haven't seen the Pimperel Notecase, so I can't compare. Maybe someone else will jump in.
As far as the Predator Wallet goes, there are lots of effects that one can perform with the use of this wallet. I only have the Psycho Killer routine set up (the routine with the bills that most folks are talking about); so far it has served me very well. The routine calls for the ability to QUICKLY obtain three bills (without fumbling). Also, the real convincer, and one of the ingenious things about this wallet, is that at the end of the routine, one can show that the wallet is totally empty of any extra bills. Very clever. Paul Wilson is a seasoned pro, so I think that if he could have achieved his effects by using a wallet that was already marketed, then he probably would have done so. Therefore, I'd be willing to bet that you'd find some good uses for this clever prop. Good Luck deciding! |
