Are these new envelopes endorsed by Nick and Alan?

The most expensive paper envelopes in the world. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Hi Guys,
These are not something we manufacture in house. We buy them direct from John and the price is set by him. I am in talks with John as to how we can get the price down on these. I'll keep you all updated. Regards PETER |

The price would have to come down considerability. Although these envelopes are not self-sealing, buy yourself a bottle of rubber cement and wah lah, you now have self-sealing envelopes. The same principal as with Card to Sealed Envelope. Here are a couple of links for 2"x2" envelopes:
2"x2" white envelopes. 500 envelopes $23.99 http://www.amazon.com/500-White-Paper-Co......0478RSBU 2"x2" colored envelopes. 50-249 .05c @ / 250-999 .04c @ / 1000+ .03c each - Per Color Choice. http://www.jakesmp.com/CSD_Coin_Envelope......1_C.html 2"x2" Kraft envelopes. 100 for $4.99 http://www.coinsupplyzone.com/brand/kraft/envelopes |

The envelope seems less impossible than In the middle of a folded up cloth.

I've found a happy medium with a folded up envelope.

I believe they were self-sealing.

I purchased a package of 50 Blue 2"x2" coin envelopes @$.05 each for a total of $2.50. These envelopes were not self-sealing, however, for around $3.00 I purchased a bottle of Rubber Cement. I went ahead and made up self-sealing envelopes ala Signed Card to Sealed Envelope. So for about $.11 each, I now have self-sealing envelopes. This is a lot more palatable than what magico calculated @$1.52 each. Not only that, but I ended up with twice as many envelopes.
Was it a pain in the butt making them up? Sure it was! I would much rather buy them already made up and I wouldn't mind paying a fair price for them. But I can't bring myself to pay $1.52 for something I can make myself for $.11. |

Hey all,
I'm obviously not up to the right amount of posts to enter the 'secret' area, and not going to make a whole heap just to get in.. I have this and absolutely love it - the only issue is I'm fumbling around (for about 4-5 seconds) doing the l**d... If someone has the time, or is bored, please PM me with any tips... I can perform it no problems after this has happened - just I'm all thumbs :-( Also do my little variation at the end (instead of the cloth) but that's not the issue Thanks in advance, Regards, Renzo. |

I fumble too. The secret is to just keep talking like Nick does on the demo and maintain eye contact. As far as the spec is concerned, at this stage the ring, or coin is in your other, closed hand.

I did find that I was fumbling because I was in a rush to load, being that I was in the pocket for no reason and was using verbal misdirection to cover this. I realised that I needed a good justification to be in the pocket in the first instance - then I didn't feel 'exposed' going in there, then rushing and fumbling.....
The solution, certainly when doing the coin routine, for me, was to use the hand containing the palmed coin to pick up the pen that the coin was marked with and to deposit it in the pocket. That way, I was justified being in the pocket as far as the audience was concerned and I no longer rush the load as a result......and it works!!
Have you tried 'Up The Ante' yet?? The ultimate gambling demo....a self-working wonder! See the reviews here on the cafe.
