A lot of the packet effects I've been looking at use multiple Aces (for instance, 3 Ace of Hearts) or Aces with different backs (Royal Scam), etc. Even raiding my stash of used decks, I find I run out of Aces (especially Spades). And since the used deck cards are usually a little worn out (or a lot), I'd really prefer new cards for the effects I present. But if I pull the Aces out of a new deck, it sort of disables that deck except for use as a spare resource for other cards....
Does anyone sell a deck with nothing but Aces, possibly some Aces with different backs? This question was prompted by purchasing John Bannon's Royal Scam and thinking about the 4 Aces with different backs he includes as part of the effect - I was wondering how you can sell such a thing without making a bunch of decks unusable because you've removed the Ace of Spades from it. You'd think someone must sell just Aces?! I believe I've seen discussion of decks that are just Jokers here; how about just Aces? I did search but no results. Thanks for any info! Larry S. PS: 200 posts, finally! Took long enough (to have something useful to say). |

They sell one-way force decks with aces, or any other card in a deck. They often sell the ace decks more quickly so you may have to work to find them. I've never heard of a commercially available one-way force deck with rainbow backs, though I think there was a trick out that used one. (Lennart Green effect maybe)

Thanks for the ideas of the forcing deck. Typically, these just have one card; I was wondering more about a deck with multiple types of Aces (CHSD and/or varying backs, perhaps). Unlikely, I'd guess, but I wanted to ask the forum.

Larry S. I am not sure if you are looking for a deck with 52 Ace of Spades (or Hearts, or Clubs, or Diamonds) or if you are looking for a deck with 13 AOC, 13 AOH, 13 AOD, and 13 AOS repeating. If you want a deck with the four aces repeating, try buying a dozen decks at Costco or Sam's Club + 1 deck. Total cost is about $15.00 to 18.00.
If you want a complete deck of all ace of Diamonds for example, buy two Al Koran Decks (with aces) and you have it. Also, if you don't care if all the cards are a little short, buy two Svengali decks from Haines (specify which ace you want) and you have it. Or ask Haines if they can make you a deck of all Ace of Spades or Diamonds, or Clubs or Hearts. I probably have a couple of decks of all aces (Bicycle don't remember which color back red or blue ones). If you can't find what you want, PM me and I will look around and let you know what I have. I will sell you a set if no one else can. |

Oh, by the way, if you buy the decks from Costco, you can also make up several toss out decks from the set as well. Or, you could make four repeating Aces, Kings, Queens, Jacks, Tens, etc. down the line. If you order from Haines, go ahead and buy some double face cards and some double backs. They also sell a mixed box gaffed cards as well. You are probably going to pay shipping, so may as well order a few other things at the same time. You could also buy one or two decks with different back designs too. Sometimes Bicycle has green back decks at Christmas time so Haines may have those as well.
Svengali Pitchmen often sell decks of cards with only 48 cards. Most people cannot tell the difference in the thickness of a deck with 48 cards and a deck with 52. So, for your purpose you can probably make due with a dozen new decks from Costco or Sam's. If you want them from me, they will be new cards. I don't normally sell cards, but I have enough to make them up for you. |
