Why not just lap the coin and then have someone from above, out of camera range just drop another coin in the glass ?

That isn't so great. You are using mirrors. And camera tricks. And smoke and twins and midgets and trick coins...
Ok. I'm impressed. |

Good to see folks exploring.
There are related handlings where you "move" from first/second finger **ip - a more Downs-like solution with different angles

Mehdi - Sorry. I was being sarcastic. If English isn't your first language, I apologize. It was just my way of saying that that was beautiful.

Very impressed by the final moves with the glass, but think a more natural vanish would be better, i.e. hand possessions close to what a lay person might do. Following Lawrence's lead, what effects would precede this one and what would follow? Does this effect set a theme of an invisible coin, or is the the climax of other coin effects? What are the spectator's expectations when this is performed?
You have a move here that can possibly be used for other effect -- something new and powerful. You have opened a portal. Now what?

Since we are not in secret sessions this has to be s little vague:
The same idea has been explored barehand by Liwag and from other clips in a higher grip ala Downs. Gotta love inertia. The price of a free thumb is often an awkward turn... A challenge to choreograph. Watch out for cramped elbows and wrist bends. Hint: it's okay to step back with your other foot.
...to all the coins I've dropped here
