I've been lurking for quite some time, originally pointed here by Brian Brushwood in one of his videos, and decided to finally join up! I am relatively new to magic (Off and on for most of my life. But have only been serious about it for for around three months.) I do mainly card magic, but I like the occasional rope/coin trick. And of course, the torn and restored newspaper. (too good not to use!) in addition I greatly enjoy fire eating, but I understand that that isn't a welcome topic here at the Café and will leave it at that.
I'm a younger magician(15), thus far with only one performance, a birthday party for a friend of our families daughter, she and he family greatly enjoyed my performance. My next is for a 2nd grade classes Christmas party, which I certainly hope they will enjoy! I greatly look forward to learning from the more experienced magicians here, as well as offering my own insight in the few instances where I do have the knowledge to help. -Nicholas Night. |

Welcome Nicholas Night,
I wish I'd started in Magic young. Keep a record of your Magic with dates. It helps you see your progress. Also the changes in your repertoire are so gradual over time that you hardly notice. Being able to see your original set list will be a blast from the past. -Mary Mowder |

That's a great idea. I think I'll do that. Thanks for both the welcome and the suggestion!
