Hello again,
I thought it would be interesting to see if there are any actors or celebrities that do magic (other than actual magicians). I know Harry Anderson does, but that is about it. Anyone else? Thanks, TJ |

I don't know this for sure or first hand. But I have heard that Jason Alexander has interest in magic, particularly card effects. And is pretty good too.
But that's only what I heard. I don't even remember from who or where now... GlenD

Hi
Steve Martin Orson Wells (did as he's no longer alive) Mel Gibson did his own hat manipulation in one of his movies (dunno the right word for it) Also heard that David Bowie did his own contact juggling in his movie Labyrinth. |

Actually it was Michael Moschen(sp?) who did the contact juggling in the movie Labyrinth for Bowie.
Michael also grew up with Penn Jillet(again sp sorry) of Penn and Teller and did a 2 person act with him until they split so Michael could juggle and Penn could do comedy/magic. Anyway... I just met Dustin Diamond(Screech from Saved by the Bell) and he apparently is a member of the magic castle and did magic for 9 years....who knew? While he might not be REALLY famous, Ricky Jay did a lot of TV and movie acting I believe |

I saw Jason Alexander on Kilborn along with Lance Burton and Jason did a silly coin thing. He said he was an avid magic fan in his youth.
I also read a great article about Ricky Jay and was surprised at how many movies and tv shows he's been in. Eveyone, of course remembers his X-Files part! Also, Milton Berle and Dom Delouise are said to be amatuer magicians... or so I've heard. |

Now that you mention it I do remember hearing that Carson was into magic. I also remember seeing Arsenio Hall on Jay Leno and he had a cut the woman in half trick with him.
Thanks for all the quick replies everyone! TJ |

Also Steve Allen and Ernie Kovaks did magic.

And Tony Curtis. He got magic lessons from Dunninger to act the role of Houdini. Griffin O'Neal had acted a as a young magician in a film. Will Weaton had acted as the young Harry Houdini but I do not know if he does it as a hobby or not.
