Underground Gaff means only a select few know of it existence. Those that are very close friends of the creator and get together to share magic and ideas.
I think not having a DVD will really hurt the sales of this effect. No one wants printed instructions, only DVDs so they can watch them for entertainment. Reading is so last decade, anyway! |

From my experience, underground means that usually they are not regular performers but rather just extremely talented hobbyists. Sometimes for good reason such as stage fright or just because they suck on stage. But they have a great capacity to create. Maybe they are locked up below in the Magic Castle dungeon, and every year, one of them is released to debut a new trick. ...

Usually, though, I think the only thing holding back some of the brilliant "underground" creators/performers is just a lack of business knowledge. |

I have one question: Can you perform this with any r**l or do you have to use the one which is provided with the package?
As I have tons of them a download/or just the DVD would be a good option. Very interesting concept by the way... rings, IT... it could not get better... iam in! Another question would be what happens if your spectator does not reach that carefully for the ring... I guess this actually might expose the method which makes this ending quit risky. Anyways it looks great! |

Whatever the original intentions were for the term, Its now a term that's used by sellers to put a spin on a product and pull in the 15 year old kids.... You guys seriously don't see that happening? Every new release nowadays has "Underground" attached to it. If not the release itself then the person who created it. |

The DVD contains the routines and instructions. I agree that the term 'Underground' is overused these days - especially in cases where it doesn't apply. The term 'Underground' is meant to refer to an unknown or arcane effect or artist, perhaps known to only an 'inner circle'. In this instance, it does apply. Damien is a truly great creator, but unless you're hanging out in a small coffee house in Paris at 3am, after receiving an invite from Bebel, you won't have seen that mind in action. The term used for an Underground artist that becomes well-known for their underground work, is 'Overground', which would be more accurate in most cases. Daniel Madison, for instance, has become an Overground artist - despite much of his work remaining underground (unreleased and known only to a select few). If you have a favorite r**l, it'll most likely work just fine with this effect - however a digital download or DVD only option is not offered. At the worst - you'll have a well constructed back-up r**l that can sit in a drawer until you need it. The spectator does not need to reach too carefully for the ring with this hookup, but I can see what you're saying. Audience control is all I can say. If you've got the sort of spectator that's going to grab your deck out of your hands to examine mid-routine, then yes - they would most likely ruin the effect with the ring grab. If that's the sort of spectator you've got - move on. You're doing no one any favors performing for them. Best, -Jake.

Therefore there's definetly no need to buy another product including a reel. On the the other hand I'm always interested in new levitation effects and hook ups. Maybe you can release a download version. I would buy one and I could also save shipping costs Cheers Nikki

When we have an exclusive on a product we will usually wholesale it to Brick&Mortar stores around 30 days after release, and online stores at the end of the exclusive period. In discussions over the last week however, we may look at wholesaling this to online stores earlier, simply because we're getting inundated with emails from other stores looking for it. When and whether that will be has more to do with when we can get more units in though, as we've sold through more than half the DVDs we had replicated. Another order will most likely be going in this week, because we know Blackpool will sell out and there'll be increased demand when the reviews start to get around. I don't believe we will be offering this as a download option only. It's a package deal - and although we could probably sell more with a download option, we also have reasons for keeping the package together as it is. All the best, -Jake.

It's a package deal - and although we could probably sell more with a download option, we also have reasons for keeping the package together as it is. That's a shame. I'd buy the download or DVD, but as is I have an ITR I love already (the GTR by Grand Illusions--three of them actually) and don't see myself parting with it, and don't want to be forced to buy an inferior ITR I know I'm not going to use just to learn the new hook-up. Wish you were selling this as a a DVD or download without the ITR too. Looks good. The forced purchase of the ITR in the package though makes it overpriced for those just looking for the information. I don't need to buy a whole new motorcycle to learn to pop-a-wheelie. |

It is light coming from the FRONT that reflects off the thread back towards the spectator's eyes, and that is when it often becomes visible. Light from the back will reflect backwards. |
