Hey there, does anybody know if this trick is being sold or published anywhere?
I've never seen it, only read about it. Last night I saw on youtube David Copperfield doing something that kinda ressembles the Williamson trick, I wonder if it's the same routine. I'd love to see and/or learn it. Any pointer is appreciated. Thanks! Latigo |

This effect is mentioned in a podcast with David Williamson as having been created in a dream.
D.C was given the heads up about this effect and asked Williamson if he could incorporate it into his show ...............there's more to this and other stories on the magicians podcast hosted by Richard Young .....really entertaining and resourceful podcast for anyone who appreciates the art. link here : http://magicianspodcast.podbean.com/ best wishes Nic_Holson |

I have much of David Williamson's material that was sold, and there is nothing published or on DVD concerning a Short Change routine. I would think it is one of the already published versions, as what makes David Williamson, so unique is David Williamson, as only he can get away with.
I hope I am wrong, as I would like to see his version of this type of effect. I would also think, if Copperfield got involved, it would now be confidential and hands off. All depends if Williamson sold, but kept the publishing rights. I like when creators would sell their tricks after those famous Copperfield specials on television. |

I remember seeing David Williamson do this back in the Nineties at am Abbotts magic get-together!
He had a local street musician play his accordion as background music and once the accordion started up - David couldn't get him to stop. It was so funny. He was whipping kids around like rag dolls during the 'magical exchange of the underwear'. It is certainly true that only he could get away with it! |

I heard that Williamson podcast. It was very entertaining.
You're right, there was a lot more to I t. I got the impression that he was very grateful to Copperfield because of the way he treated his father.
