What r you talking about??? the penguinmagic instant downloads?? I assume you are. don't buy either. get Michael Ammar's easy to master card miracles DVD 4 or 5 cant rememeber which one, but it has jazz aces on there as well as other very cool tricks that are worth your money. and as for synergy, I think you can probably find a variation in the royal road to card magic, if not, watch the video enough times, you will figure it out yourself.it isn't hard to see what he is doing...if you read and watch enough magic over the next month you will be able to figure out almost all the instant downloads.
Darwin ortiz also has jazz aces in one of his books...at the card table I'm pretty sure it is, cant remember which one I read it out of. in any case, that probably inst for you since it has a lot of difficult routines...so go with Ammar's dvds |

Smoke and Mirrors has a variant of jazz aces with a royal flush ending called Boogie Woogie Aces.

I prefer the original. and smoke and mirrors is 1. out of print and VERY hard to come by and 2. not for beginners

Neither. Jazz Aces is a great effect, however, and can be found in the Ortiz book metioned above and on one of Ammar's ETMCM videos. I would sincerely recommend either of those sources. I didn't even think Penguin Magic was selling the Jazz Aces download anymore, because it wasn't their's, but a rip-off, like most all of their instant downloads.

If you look around, David Regal posted a very good version of Jazz Aces on this site....

Regal's effect is pretty good too. nothing compares to the original though...so simple in construction. and yes, I do believe jazz aces was taken down from penguinmagic. the instructional video is no longer available but the actual video showing the effect is still there. and about synergy, I'm absolutely positive that there is a trick in Royal Road to Card Magic called "card in the pocket" on pg. 90 in the chapter about palming. it is very similar and it leaves you clean at the end too, unlike synergy

You should of just searched the Penguin Magic forums where you would of seen that Synergy is just Card to Pocket available in Royal Road To Card Magic, get that instead.

Jazz Aces by Kane and Ortiz is on ETMCM's Volume 3.
John Guastaferro has a neat variation of Jazz Aces on his new BrainStorm Volume 2 DVD. I have not played around with yet though, as I have been working on a couple of his other tricks.
