Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate the positive comments. And, I'm sure that many people here appreciate the info as well.

I've bent a countless amount of coins in live performances over the years, both closed in the hands, and visually using an "Optical Bend". And, I've been torn on this question for a long time, as both ways of performing it have always been very powerful for spectators.

I think it may be a personal preference for every performer, and may be for each spectator too. Sometimes in performance I'll give the spectators a choice, to "either see the magic happen, or to feel it happen in their hands". It seems to be about 50/50 on which way they choose. However, no matter which way I perform it, the reactions have always been absolutely amazing.

Lately, I've been performing it in the hands for one on one performances, or just a few people. And, visually for larger groups of people, or video cameras/TV cameras, and stand up type shows.

I also suggest switching it up now and then, and getting a feel for the audience, then making that decision on the fly. It's always fun to perform it that way too!

Thank you for the posts. Loved that you performed this for David Copperfield. I became a magician after meeting him back stage in 1999. Meeting him in person changed my life. About the QB3, I only performed with it about 15 times for various people. Had a situation come up where I was asked to do something on the fly. Had the QB3 in my pocket and the rest was just beautiful, strong reactions. I love this device, the ingenuity, and the durability. Great job once again John.

I decided to bite the bullet and purchase qb3 3 months ago after a long debate and man, talk about being late to the party. This has been by far one of the best investments I have made in a long time. I wish I would’ve known sooner. Note: the new Powder Coat QB3's still go through the same painstaking process of hand decal-ing and clear coating each unit, twice.

At this time I don't have any plans to make more. I'm crazy busy with other projects too. However, depending on the demand and if there's enough interest, I may consider it again sometime in the future.

Happy to have one. Made me many tips when I busked in Vegas, just used it tonight for each person at my 3 hour strolling event. Love this, and surprised I haven’t lost it over the years!

This is one of the best magic purchases I have ever made. The new version with the more durable coating is a HUGE improvement, and even though the exposed metal on my old version would probably never have been noticed, it has increased my confidence to work with something that both looks and works so flawlessly. There's also something incredibly satisfying about pulling off such a big con right underneath the spectator's nose.

At the moment, I've got enough metal parts to allow me to finish a small batch. However, it will take about 3-4 weeks to finish them. After that, depending on how many people are interested, I'll consider having more metal parts machined. The investment is costly, so I'd like to have a list of interested people first.
