I just watched the video, at the 00:50 mark there is an anonmly which after some consideration I worked out my own method to the effect. Perhaps it is the same one not sure.

It's alright. I hate when ads are deceptive and this one is EXTREMELY deceptive. Sure you can use a borrowed coin... After you switch it. That's a HUGE pet peeve of mine. If you have to do a coin switch, then don't say it can be done with a borrowed coin. That's like me saying you can use a borrowed deck for an effect that involves a stack. Sure you COULD use a borrowed deck... after a deck switch. That is just false advertisment.
The effect is okay but don't think you can do this completely impromptu. |

I'll wait until I've seen the whole download before I pass judgment for 9.00 there isn't a huge risk on this one. The reason companies are resorting to these methods is because of the post above ours. If they leave one little hint at a method, some one will try to work it out and a lot of the times they are right. And never buy the effect to support the creator of said effect.
I'm not saying its right, because it frustrates me a well. But in some ways you can't blame them. It's a hard situation for them to be in I'm sure. Not just Ellusionist, but all companies who release video demos for their products. Brandon |

I absolutely detest these misleading statements used in these advertising videos. You would not get away with this sort of mis-representation anywhere else. Why do the magic community put up with it ?

The coin is borrowed. No switches!
A coin is borrowed. They put there initials on it, they can even put the x on it. The x vanishes or its moved else where. The coin is handed back. No switches at all |

Gianni says, AND I QUOTE: "And I just switched the coin..." Alan, that is also the very same point in the explanation where a pre-recorded video comes up and shows him performing the switch. So please don't tell me there is no switch. Thank you, have a nice day |

I could swear I saw this offered by someone else a year or so ago. Can't recall the name or the person offering it; or maybe it was on one of the Blaine specials? I just get this deja vu on this one (no bad Matrix jokes please ;-)
Does anyone else remember this from a year or so ago?
Dave

Exile requires much more gimmicks than this one. I'am not very sure that in real world spectator can't see the gimmick. I'll give it a shoot

I'm just really glad for sites like this one. I for one am tired of buying misleading magic. If the trick can't survive some honest scrutiny maybe it shouldn't be sold!

Hi daver, yea I seem to remember something wherea cross moves about, I don't think it involved a coin though. Then again there is so much magic that is coming out weekly, we are bound to get that deja vu feeling quite a lot.
