I love the effect and I must admit that I didn't find it particularly difficult, certainly easier than the average Magic square. It is well worth learning. I have a little tip which should only mean anything to people who have it but just to be cautious I will send a pm to Pete first and see if a) he thinks it's a valid tip and b) he thinks it's post able downstairs.

Late to the party but it was well worth it. This is the best lecture I have heard in some time. He warns the interviewer a few times that he will go deep if asked certain questions and deep he does go. That said you also get the impression 3 hours barely scratched the surface of what he has to offer. I thoroughly recommend this lecture, especially if the hype about Pete Turner has put you off. You will be spreading the hype after watching. You will also have a much better idea of how to create your own legend.
Well done Pete. Anthony

Just to say again, as I have said previously, this was a fantastic lecture and I'm very pleased to have had the opportunity to play host/interviewer for this wonderful event. I'm also happy to see that others enjoyed it as much as they have and are really getting, listening, and processing this kind of lecture. I hope it opens doors to deeper looks into mentalism and the type of lectures that come at us in the future from others.

Working in Isabella's star at the moment to replace my zodiac revelation mehod entirely.
With a little thought their 'astrological number' can be learned covertly. Rendering this a miracle. As a testament to the strength AND workability(?) of Petes material here is how an impromptu performance went for me at the bar I run. I was able to divine; a place she merely thought of, a secret 4 digit code, her Zodiac sign AND her EXACT date of Birth. At no point was ANY of this information written down. EVER. She left 100% convinced I could read her innermost thoughts. If you haven't already, get this material. A big thanks and big love to Pete! Keep inspiring brother. Aw

For those of you using Isabella's Star who have a modern phone you need to purchase telephoto by Greg Rostrami. I've set up a fake numerology blog which gives the spectator a reading based on their numerology number. They view this on their mobile and I instantly know the number. Send me a pm if you want further info
As a mentalist you must always ask yourself what if! And throughout your life you should seek to ask and answer this question over and over again, only then will your wildest dreams become a reality!

Love the Devil in Disguise.. For those who have the dvd and the lecture, will I learn a lot from the Penguin Lecture that is not already contained in the DVD? Not just effects, but all the other bits Pete uses to create his miracles.
I will buy the lecture eventually, but resources are going elsewhere at the mo, but I could be persuaded. Chris |

I felt like Pete covers principles and overall attitude more in the Penguin lecture, similar to the Ken Dyne interview on DVD set but more in depth. The type of information that makes everything you do stronger rather than a lot methods (which you get a decent amount of if you were lucky enough to get your hands on the DVDs). Don't think you can beat it for $10 an hour @ 3 hours long.
Probably the most valuable things I got were I'm not as scared of screwing up as much, and more willing to take chances. |

Just finished watching the Penguin lecture. Amazing stuff packed in here! The effects are great, but there is so much more in between. Extremely inspiring stuff.

I as well was blown away by Peter's lecture. It made me have a totally different perspective on mentalism and now makes me wanna learn a little bit more of it. For those who want to learn/practice this material are you guys purchasing Peter Turners Portugal Notes? Just curious what material you guys are learning from.

Do you mean more mentalism or more of Peter's mentalism specifically?
Portugal notes are great, though I think having a knowledge of Peter's work previously helps to understand the way they really work, good thing you have the lecture then! The Portugal video is entirely explained. If you like Peter's work, you like the Portugal clip and you have the cash to spend on it, I think you will find it a very good read. Peter's other eBooks are also very good too.

Thanks Olympic Adam. I was mostly looking at Peter's work but now that you mention it I would be willing to explore other areas of mentalism as well. Currently at work I can't watch the Portugal video but once I get home I will be able too. I will have to look into Peter's eBooks as well.

No problem, I find Peter's releases have most value when combined or played against other mentalism rather than just using his work. Take a look at some other threads, there are plenty where people have asked for advice on what to get. I think you would find even more value in Peter's material when you have a reference point of a routine that already exists or similar.

Was never a fan of Turner, thought he was just another hyped up new comer. Only got the download because I needed one more item for the Penguin $99 deal and couldn't find anything else. Well sometimes ya just get lucky. I was totally wrong. He was a real blue collar worker. Brillant approach, attitude and technique. I also was very impressed with another clip posted recently, with his book test and theme of "Don't judge a book by it's cover" Absolutely brillant.
