Ok, so I was motivated to ask this after thinking about another post.
So, what are your top 3 effects/single favourite? (And if any of you regulars here don't have it, please please please make it your next mission!)

Something I always use is Critchlow's Till Death Do us Part. I think is is a brilliant piece of thinking.

Paul Pratter?!
Paul's Freaks and Key are great, and I say this with no bias at all!

Shane's Pentalogy is probably my No 1 go to for bizarre/story-telling ideas.
My top 3 from Pentalogy: 1 The End of the World As We Know it pg 262 2 Pennies Back and Forth pg 219 3 The Sacred and the Profane pg 138 And the entire rest of the text!!! All of the effects are very simple but Shane's scripting is really the kaboom of the book. The End of the World as We Know It is really an @$s kicker for the audience and completely undetectable. One very nice point about the effect is that virtually any topic or theme can be covered and still blow 'em away. Pennies Back and Forth is so simple yet the story itself lends to the suspension of disbelief in such a way that a very simple 'trick' becomes a piece of kooky and spooky theatre. The Sacred and the Profane is not something I would use as written but it does get the gears going. |

I'm also quite curious to see which effects in this book lend themselves especially well to Happy Families and The Hedge Tarot - I'm guessing a few, at the very least.... |

My favorite is Cassandra's Quandry Revisited. I often have The True Price of Money ready, if someone asks the question. And The Sting is the 2nd effect in one of my bizarre sets. Finding the right size scorpion was a pain though.

Reviving this thread because I just fall in love with his Murder Will Out. One of the rare books that will have you perform one of its effects if you read enough pages...

This book seems to be unavailable/OOP. Does anybody know of a store where they still have one? Many thanks, cheers, Luc.
