$4.95 ( 50% off ) so I'm downloading it now. Loved Marcus's Penguin Lecture and like the way he thinks.
Downloading it now. |

I have it. It's nice for $5.00. You will need to make it yourself from two decks, but it won't take too long and once you've made it, you have an effect that will serve you for a long time. The trick looks a little different depending on what card is named, but very close to the same each time. Accordingly, if you like the demo, you will like the trick. No actual moves are required, though you should be comfortable handling a deck of cards. The only downside is that this is a one-trick deck.

Can you hand out the card they selected? And give it away as a souvenir?
This might be one very organic way to get out of the one-trick deck: you hand out the selected card, and say that you'll get another deck to keep going, because THIS deck is one card short, and for this next trick, I need to... The switch would just seem like a natural thing to do. |

(Speculating around)
I would say that this is an interesting variation. But * the effect is different depending on the choice * you cannot reuse the deck Bob Solari, IIRC, had a better version called Ultimate Brainwave (which ultimately originated with Fred Kaps). That version leaves you with an almost complete regular deck.
I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death my right to say "scr*w you" if you persist. [Voltaire ]

Lumberjohn nailed it.
The outcome its like a r/s Brainwave deck, without r/s. It's typical Marcus Eddie thinking. With Marcus's deck, after the effect is over, you could put back the only red back card they named and take out 4 blue back cards and do Doc Dailey's last trick, things like that, so you can do other tricks if you wanted. I'll try that tonight when I go out. |

It is true that the outcome may be different when performed multiple times (red card in otherwise blue deck v. blue card in otherwise red deck), so you probably wouldn't want to repeat to the same group, but I don't see this as a big problem for walk-around or table hopping in which you are going from group to group. Even if someone happens to see it that saw it before and the result is technically different, sirens should not go off since the basic effect looks the same.
You can hand out the card (it is entirely normal), but you will need to replace it in your deck in case another spectator names that card. |

There is no "justification" for the props, and getting out of the deck is simple enough. "Well, we could keep going with this one red/blue card, but that would make finding it too easy. Let me get a new one." Or you could move one to effect number two that is not cards.

Also throwing this out there. The one "gimmick" for the effect? We have to remember to not think like magicians and like lay people. IE non-magicians really don't know what a normal card box really looks like. I have built it differently. Something more practical. PM and I'll share it.

I think it's great, I never liked handling the brainwave or Invisible deck and this is so much more user friendly

Also, instead of using a red and blue rider backs, I'm using a red fan back and blue circle back tally ho. I'm thinking about using a dragon back and a rider back as well. I think it's stronger if the decks are very contrasting, but that's just me.
