Hi Jared,
Thank you for your purchase. As Jan said, you are always welcome to use your own devices . . . but obviously the effect isn't as convincing. The device that you hand out can be an older device or an iPod Touch using WiFi. If you're concerned about the length of the URL, you can use a URL shortener like bit.ly and customize the post fix. Here's an example of my Vegas album: bit.ly/vegas7 Hi rasmus, As I said in my PM to you, you can't edit the URL of your albums. Just use a URL shortener (like above) or use your own web page (like below). Hi duanebarry, As Jan said, you can further hide the real URL of teleFoto by embedding it on your own web page. Here's an example of my Vegas album: 333pics.com/v You'll notice that the URL of that site simply says "333pics.com/v" and doesn't say anything about teleFoto. cheers, Greg Rostami |

The actual URL is irrelevant, so long as it's one you supply rather than one the spectator chooses, and any tech geek in the audience will key in on this. The thought process runs: - You control the website. - The website knows what image it serves up. - The website communicates that information to you. This is transparent to the tech geeks, or to anyone who has looked at their own webserver logs to see what pages/images visitors to their site have been looking at. A whole lot of people run websites today. Mentalism involving a computer or smartphone is like a stage illusion with a big box. Credit goes to the clever device, with the extra disadvantage that you'll never get a tiger to jump out of your phone. |

Hello friends,
I'm afraid I can't answer your questions tonight. I'll answer your questions either later tonight or tomorrow. All the best, Greg |

The first thing which pops to my mind after reading about Telefoto is that you will receive misleading reading if any of the oudience who you previously performed would like to see the fotos after the trick is over. Lets say you are showing the trick to somebody else and the person you was performing to 10 minutes ago wanted to tell anybody how you read their mind and just opened your album again to show all different fotos. I didn't purchase this application but I belief that in that case you will receive incorrect reading.

My problem with apps has always been that the possible explanation in the spectators mind, that the phone is doing the work, is the right one. It seems really important to me that you justify the "website" and cut off the inevitable rejoinder: "Do it with MY photos". I think it may be better to dispense with photos altogether! I also can see that this is something which may play better in a casual setting using a computer rather than a smart phone (I may try this out in my grubby local internet Café!)-or over the phone. With a bit of thought, I think it could really astonish, and it is pretty inexpensive for the possibilities it offers. That said, we've probably got a month before it's all over youtube, so get in quick! |

I've been answering them as quick as I can. It's Saturday today so I've been trying to spend some time with my wife and two children. Second: I've gone out of my way to make teleFoto as simple as possible. When you first start the app it shows you both video and written instructions. The performance of the trick couldn't be any easier . . . on each album the URL (web address) that you tell you spectators is clearly written. These web addresses always begin the same way . . . para.ms/ph/x-y If you ever forget that address, by simply running the app and looking at your album's button you can see the address that you'll tell your spectators. Third: I don't think all magicians are computer gurus. The performance that you see me do on the promo video is exactly what you get with the product. The order of the events for that performance was. 1. Before I came into her store I launched teleFoto, noted the address that I would tell her (which is the stock Random album), touched the button, and put my phone in my pocket. 2. I asked her to go to that address on her device. 3. She stopped at a photo, I felt it, and then I told her with some drama the photo she's looking at. As you can see from the above steps, you don't have to be a computer guru to use teleFoto. And lastly . . . I DO think about it . . . ALL the time. So much that my wife has asked me to stop talking about it (no joke). I'm sorry if you've been having some difficulties with teleFoto. I'm certain that all of my customers will tell you that I'll do ANYTHING to make teleFoto work perfectly for you. all the best, Greg Rostami |

On 2013-06-08 21:47, duanebarry wrote: Hi duanebarry, I understood your point from your first post. I'm an electronics engineer. I remember the first time I saw Chris Kenner perform Promystic's MD cube at the Magic Castle. I knew it was an accelerometer transmitting a signal that turned into a . . . you know what. The exact circuit, components and the micro-controller code was very clear to me. BUT, I thought it was a GREAT trick. The fact that geeks like me can figure that out, hasn't stopped all of the top names in magic from using Promystic's fine products all over the world. I remember the first time I saw David Copperfield perform James Mattox's Email Wizard on his stage show in Vegas. If you're familiar with the trick, David sends an email to everyone in the audience that has a photo prediction. For me, and the other geeks in the audience that know that you can embed HTML in an email, the method was obvious. BUT, I thought it was a GREAT trick. The fact that geeks like me know about embedding HTML in an email, hasn't stopped David Copperfield from performing this great trick every night in his amazing stage show. I think you understand the point I'm trying to make. teleFoto is a new tool. Like any other tool in magic it's purpose is to bring wonder to our audience. Over the life of this tool, magicians will mix it with other methods that'll baffle our audiences. What I can tell you is; over the last two months, everyone that has teleFoto has put a smile on their spectators' faces and has given them a moment of wonder. The reactions on the teleFoto videos say it all . . . Greg Rostami |

I got Telephoto and I really don't understand how can someone say that this needs a tech guru to perform the effect.
I really can't see any way this could have been any easier. By opening the app you immediately realize how much thought has been put on this project and how user friendly it is. Greg nailed it big time! Congrats for such a wonderful tool. Best regards, Titanas p.s: I am thinking to include the link in my new business cards, so everytime someone asks me what is this link, I immediately have a miracle generator.

Hmm...just tried this out this morning in my local Café. Let's just say I will only be performing the "in-person" version of this in a wi-fi enabled area in future.

Hi All, After playing with this a bit I decided to never bring my phone into view during performance. I remove a business card from my wallet with the url and details of a 'remote viewing' site which is the patter I use for the effect. I basically do a remote viewing of what their looking at.

Just bought this and loving the possibilities - absolutely great app!
The instructions say that you can have a maximum of 15 pictures that send codes, right? And that you can define the vib code for each? So, to keeps the vibs to a minimum, why not just use binary! That way all 15 possibilities can be coded with a maximum of four vibs (rather than up to seven using the standard settings) - just a thought... |

For this to work, does your phone need to be able to access the internet as well?
Or is it just the Spectator's phone? In performance I mean. Post website set-up. I'm often finding people who are able to get access to the internet when my one won't which would be annoying! |
