Hi Greg - I emailed you this morning and realise you must be inundated with emails. I know you visit the various Tele Foto threads and so maybe yo can answer my question here or PM me. I wanted to add an album to my Tele Foto App and so needed to log in to tele-photo.appspot.com. It asks for a user name and password. My user name is egoli but I can't remember what password I used when I set everything up. When I try to change the password in the app it asks for the old password first. How do I go about resetting my password?
Thanks for your time, Ed |

Unfortunately you cannot use the same username because it already exists in their system. Alternately, send a PM to haninaguib (see the post directly above yours). That is the programmer and he can reset your password. (I didn't find this out until I had already uninstalled/reinstalled per Greg's instructions). Jim |

Hi Zombie Magic,
The effect: A spectators goes to a website on her device (smartphone/tablet/computer) that has lots of photos on it. They concentrate on a photo. The magician knows which photo the spectator's looking at even though he can't see her screen! http://youtu.be/iPEPBeajcm8?t=1m51s The product works perfectly out of the box. You buy the app, read the instructions and start performing in 5 minutes. On this thread people are asking about further enhancements and customizations of the effect. Greg Rostami |

Hello friends,
Many of you want to use your own URL (web address) instead of the URL provided by teleFoto. There are two reasons why you'd want to do this. 1. You want to hide the tele-foto address that shows up on your spectator's device. You tell your spectator to visit: para.ms/ph/x-y (x-y are your unique album identifiers) But when the page loads on their browser, the address on the address bar reads: http://tele-foto.appspot.com/album/?id=x-y The easiest way to hide the tele-foto URL is to ask your specs to go to: 333pics.com/?id=x-y Where the x-y are your unique album identifiers. 2. You want the URL to reflect the effect you're doing for your spectator. For example if you're doing a routine about Vegas, you want your URL to be something like vegasphotos.com Here are a few other things you can do. 1. The easiest way to have your own URL is to use a URL shortener. The most reliable one is bit.ly bitly.com This method will still leave the tele-foto address visible on your spectator's device but it's super easy. Go to the address you want to URL shorten, for example: para.ms/ph/2-1 Wait until it changes to: http://tele-foto.appspot.com/album/?id=2-1 Highlight that address with your mouse and choose copy. Go to bitly.com You must sign up for a free account on bitly.com to create custom shortened URLs. Once you've signed up for an account . . . In the upper left hand corner of the page, paste your long URL. In the window that pops-up make sure you click the little pencil icon. That allows you to change your shortened URL. Here's an example of my Vegas album, shortened by bit.ly: bit.ly/vegas7 2. Purchase a URL and forward it to your teleFoto album. This method will still leave the tele-foto address visible on your spectator's device. You can purchase a URL (Domain name) through many online vendors. The most popular being godaddy. http://www.godaddy.com/ Once you've purchased your domain name, you can go into the settings of that domain name and choose a forwarding option. Here's a video that explains that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7spohM3lw94 If you're familiar with forwarding a domain name, you probably know about masking the destination URL. Unfortunately, the masking feature of godaddy.com works on every browser but not on iOS browsers (Booo Apple). 3. Purchase a URL with hosting or use your own existing website for your teleFoto albums. I'm afraid I can't get into all of the details of buying a URL and hosting it. What I can say is if you want your teleFoto album to be a part of your web page, use this line in your HTML code: If you want your album to fill the page: <object width="100%" height="100%" data="http://tele-foto.appspot.com/album/?id=x-x"></object> If you want your album to be 900x900 pixels. <object width="900" height="900" data="http://tele-foto.appspot.com/album/?id=x-x"></object> 4. If you have a website, create a page with this HTML code in it: <html> <head> <title>Photo Gallery</title> <meta content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=0;" name="viewport" /> <meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes" /> <meta http-equiv="cache-control" content="no-cache, no-store, must-revalidate"> <meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache"> <meta http-equiv="Expires" content="0"> <link href="http://tele-foto.appspot.com/album/resources/jquery.mobile-1.3.0.min.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" /> <link href="http://tele-foto.appspot.com/album/resources/jquery-mobile.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" /> <link href="http://tele-foto.appspot.com/album/resources/photoswipe.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://tele-foto.appspot.com/album/resources/klass.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://tele-foto.appspot.com/album/resources/jquery-1.8.3.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://tele-foto.appspot.com/album/resources/jquery.mobile-1.3.0.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://tele-foto.appspot.com/album/resources/code.photoswipe.jquery-3.0.5.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://tele-foto.appspot.com/album/resources/album.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> id = "x-y"; </script> </head> <body bgcolor="#000000"> <div data-role="page" id="Home"> <div data-role="header"> <h1>Loading album...</h1> </div> <div data-role="content"> <ul id="Gallery" class="gallery"> </ul> </div> </div> </body> </html> Notice the line above that says 'id="x-y";' Replace the x-y with your albums numbers. Here's an example of the above code for my Vegas album: http://333pics.com/v 5. If you completely remove the line that says 'id="x-y";' then the above code will use the id that's written in the address line. Here's an example of my Vegas album with the id in the address line: http://333pics.com/?id=2-1 I hope this long message answers your questions about custom URLs and hiding the tele-foto URL, Greg Rostami |

Hi Greg,
Would it not have been possible/easier to ensure that the name telefoto didn't appear on ANYTHING the spectator is looking at? It seems a remarkable oversight to allow the possibility of the spectator typing in that word after the effect and being led directly to the solution? |

You can hide it with the HTML script. But if they right click and go to the source ..... there it is again (8 times in a row).
Forgive me any language mistakes.

By giving people the 333pics.com address you don't have to Thanks professor who, So if I give them that address the name of the app will not appear on the spectators screen? If so, problem solved! |

Martin I had the same issue, now I use the 333pics.com/?id= and it works fine, the spectator won't see a thing regarding "telefoto"
