I would appreciate it if I could have some views on this item from actual users of the product.
To give you a rough idea of what the current situation is, I have for a long time now been using the Peavey Messenger Lite M100 Portable P.A System which for my needs was ok. I now wish to upgrade slightly to something that is still easy to carry, set up and has decent volume that will cope with Birthday parties to School shows, small halls and that type of thing. It wouldn't be used for outdoors. I need somethimg that is small and compact and this seems to fit the bill and it is self contained so less gear to carry too and from the car, in my mind a big plus. Those that have this product and use it, what are your thoughts. I require it for talking, obviously and also for playing music through at parties so it needs to be loud enough. I assume I would be able to easily comect a music source to it and have it remotely controlled from a distance ? What is it like when you are talking and playing music through it, is there any distortion ?. I don't need any type of slam dunk huge speaker systems that will weigh more than my car just something that is paractical, useable and meets the needs of the usual kids entertainer. I assume that you would be able to connect 2 together so that you can have 1 either side of your set up. Concerning a microphone, I use a shure PG288 wireless microphone system - will this plug in easily and be acceptable for this speaker system ? I realise that some of the above questions may seem obvious but I want to be really sure before I buy. I would prefer to appear stupid and get the correct item than think I know it all and end up with an expensive paper weight. Thank you for reading this and I very much appreciate anyone who takes the time to reply and help me, and hopefully others, with my questions. Kind regards, Stuart Brown.

If you are willing to pay for it
a bose l1 compact seems to fit your needs, a qsc k10 looks fine too altough this one looks to play louder I'm having trouble choosing between the 2 myself... |

Go with the Mackie, you'll be glad you did. It will fit all your needs perfectly. The other two mentioned above are much bigger, far more expensive and for what you're after are definately overkill. And yes you can daisychain two together, but for now just get the one and that is probably all you will need.

I agree.
I have been using my Mackie 150 for more than a year now; it is small, plenty powerful for my needs and easy to set up. I have a wireless microphone and a notebook (for playing music) connected and everything works fine. Lars |

Tophatevents, a bose l1 and a qsc k10 are too big for my needs as I still need to drive my car
Wandboy and Lars I appreciate your feedback. Many Thanks, Stuart.
