Has anyone tried wild card with jumbo cards?
If so, was the routining similar, or did you have to modify it. I get good reactions with my routine based on the wonderful Tommy Wonder version. I just wonder if bigger cards would make it more of a stage type routine as opposed to a more intimate setting. |

Qua-Fiki's "Go Wild Fish" from his "Go Fish Card Tricks" is performed with jumbo cards, and they can even be large "Ultra Jumbo" cards if you wish.
His "Wild Reindeer Games" from The Wizards' Journal #23 is not only performed with jumbo cards, but introduces the concept of changing one type of card (Santa Cards) into eight different named Reindeer cards plus Rudolph. His latest variation, also performed with jumbo cards, is called "More Bunny Business" and is found in The Wizards' Journal #25. It also features eight different bunny cards at the end. He describes how you could use the same principle to do a wild card routine with regular playing cards but instead of, for example, ending with eight nine of clubs (or whatever) as is usual now with most wild card routines, you could end with eight completely different playing cards to have, for instance, a winning poker hand, etc. But to answer your main question, yes, it is easily performed with jumbo cards.

Spellbinder and I have collaborated on several Wild Card variations with Tarot Cards, which are not quite jumbo cards, but definitely larger than poker or bridge cards. The material can be found in our Magic Nook Crafty House of Little Horrors under the name "Invisible Tarot."
