I'm here at Kidabra for the first time, and it's great. I love it. It really energized me, I learned a lot, got great stuff, and met lots of really nice people. I gotta get back there now, but I'll post a full review Sunday or Monday.

Jolly Roger, it was fun hanging out with you at Kidabra. You are both a scholar and a gentleman! And a very nice and friendly chap, despite being a Brit living in Arizona. His performance tonight was one of the better ones, and his lecture was very good too.

Well,
I don't know what the hot items were, but Tommy's booth was very popular and he had a lot of the more interesting stuff. Happie Amp has a new sound control system that I bought, and it seems like just the ticket cause the control buttons are raised and can be operated by feel and can be controlled by feel even when it's in your pocket, also it has some cool programing features and you can see the tracks you are on from a distance. Joe Rpmano is a very successful school show specialist and he released a new book on the school show market that's pretty good. Buster Balloon has a new download on balloon gags - I only saw part of it but his 2 lectures/shows were great. Barry Mitchell has a new DVD that I didn't get, but his presentation/preview of the material was very good- it was tricks and utilities items you can make/buy on the cheap.

I feel the same way Tommy!!! I have just arrived in Vegas for Magic Live and have been chatting to...guess who? My friend Steve Brooks. I have also bought one of his Magic Café pins and am wearing it proudly. You should all do the same and support this wonderful forum. Steve rocks!!! JR

Back in Sedona!!! Magic Live was great fun, although there was not too much for the children's entertainer besides Mike Bent's lecture. Great to meet so many friends at both Kidabra and Live!!! JR

I believe that Dan is referring to the "Ultimate Control" by Happie Amp, which has been out for almost a year now. It's an MP3 player with remote control. There are multiple threads in the F/X area discussing it.

Brian was also selling the Happie Amp 2.0 at his booth, as well as the "In Case of Emergency... Save the Rabbit" T-Shirts.

I heard a rumour that a bunch of British magicians walked out on one of the lecturers at Kidabra. Can this really be true? And if it is why on earth such a lack of courtesy? Was the guy insulting in any way?

Thanks Steve. Thanks you also for your endorsement of my new "Merry Mayhem and Magic DVD". My real alien sighting over Sedona video on Facebook has been causing quite a bit of interest!!! Smile JR
