I was invited to DFW to visit with some VERY talented balloon people as we played with the new Qualatex Quick Link balloons. The Pioneer rep was there and we had access to lots of free balloons.
I must say, I am impressed. I have always been a "Qualatex Guy" so take my bias into account. But, I like these better than Link-a-loon. 1) They have more of a rounded shape when inflated than the Link-a-loons do. So it does not matter which end you match. It may just be me, but inflated Link-a-loons seem to have more of a teardrop shape. 2) They are very workable even when inflated a lot. We experimented with different degrees of fullness. Even when they are very full there is enough "play" in them to work with. 3) I like that I can now match my existing Qualatex stock colors exactly. Has anyone else tried them? What do you think? By the way, if you have never worked with Qualatex Quick Links or Link-A-Loons they have a piece molded into the end so you can tie them together at either the nozzle end or the opposite end. It makes chains, circles, and such far easier. Here is a picture from the Qualatex website: Here is one of the things our group made.

Yep. Even went to the home of Stretch the Balloon Dude. But I was riding with another twister and was not setting my own itinerary. I would love to visit with you sometime. Maybe we can soon.

David Brenion spends a good share of his T JAM on the Road time teaching how to work with Quick Links. Quick Links are not just for deco, they are good for twisting too.

I like the fact that you can at least match the colors with other Qualatex sizes.

I recently bought a bag of the blush Quick Links so I can use them for princess faces. I am now way more comfortable with my Princesses as a result. I also have an assortment bag of Link O Loons that I bought a while back to do Sam Cremeens' straw thingy, but I never got around to it. I haven't done much else with either one.
If anyone's interested in learning more about them, Cody Williams put out a DVD on Quick Links. It's got some good ideas in there. And here's the link to learn Sam Cremeens' straw technique. That bit is at the very end, after the credits. He does it with Link O Loons, but I would imagine Quick Links would work as well (Sam is a Betallatex guy, and I think the video might be from before Quick Links came out, anyway): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw8-ErDK......e2qawbkg
