Eds choice between what we know and what he imagines... not entirely wrong. Hope for a future where a choice like that is real... Smile

Pop do you have a solution?

Saying told you so has limited benefits

If I say there is a gun pointing at both of us do you ask, "So do you have a solution?" or do you turn and face the problem?

I'm just pointing something out. There really are Greeks in the horse. We both better figure out something to do.

How about the simple ones: investing in battery and electric powered automotives. Certainly Tesler is doing incredible work here. Investing in renewable energy sources, wind and solar to cut down our dependance on foreign oil and fossil fuels. Regardless of your feelings on climate change surely these are ways of reducing our need to rely on the mid east, while reducing pollutants in our air and water. Can that be a bad thing?

I always think those who REALLY believe this should set an example.

Hey, I'm an absurdist...I like hanging around, even if the big picture makes no sense.

What are you holding on to down there?

We're talking about stuff that effects you too.

Actually people seem to have trouble figuring out what the heck you are ever talking about.

I think that's the game plan: intellectual razzle-dazzle.

Gurus speak in careful constructions that can't be falsified. Density brings deniability. Wiggle room. The Ruggles of Gravity's Rainbow. I feel the pinch.

Agreed. That's exactly what motivates the terse language. Stepping stones in the fast river of text. If a stone looks wet or slippery, say so.

Imagine you're in communication with Troy's king his men report the ships at sail and a wooden horse on the beach. What do you tell him?

Imagine you're Siri Keeton's father and can send a message to your prodigal son.

Now imagine you're reading this thread in ten years future but can insert a post right after this one. What do you type?

Motivation to read Pynchon. Thanks! Especially after what's next on my reading.
Writing... likely post something on FB related to something I heard today. The Grinch came...
But for folks here it's all about acting versus reacting. Act wisely. Or at least give it your best guess if you must act.

Fuses burn at the speed of light these days. So it was written. So it will be blamed.

If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Hot air with a whiff of sulfer to help drive the skittish into the agenda (read that has hunters...). Come on in. Just five bucks a head. It's safe in this henhouse. It's fox cerfified.

You can look to see if efficient technology is around ... well not at the big box stores till it's in mass production.
