Many here enjoy an faux aged book.
I am really enjoying this so I thought I should share. While it is certainly not Professor B.C. quality in aging it is wonderful for a mass marketed book. The story is quite fascinating and there is an entirely different story going on in notes written in the margins of the book...very clever. |

Nice idea.
But, if the notes written in the margins are the most important thing, why not doing in that in an old book? |

Concept is that two strangers are sharing a library book. They write notes to each other in the margins in pencil and ink.
They have never met. The book is their communication device. |

Fascinating! J.J. Abrams is excellent at creating mystery. Now, when it comes to solving that mystery, he generally leaves a lot to be desired, but it's always an interesting ride.

Hey Bruce - it would not surprize me, a trade paperback more than likely.
I only hoped to see the preservation of a brilliant bizarre effect for future generations of spooky types, not sure why you continue to tease. I hope someday B.C. does produce a paperback and his masterful art can be explored by those without big pockets. |

It reminds me the serie of books of Dennis Wheatley: Murder off Miami, ...

Another version of Murder off Miami...
 He apparently wrote a great deal about the Occult and Black Magic. One of his books inspired a Hammer film. Nice to meet you Mr. Wheatley. |

I'm just overly sensitive and dainty...a puppet thing. The book "S" or "Ship of Theseus" is also available to download on ibooks...so it even plays digitally. |

I just got this for about $25 from Amazon. I haven't read it yet but as far as appearances go, for the money, it looks very nice! It has a textured hard cover and even a library shelf sticker on the spine. I'm going to order at least one other copy to give as a Christmas gift.
   The major odd looking bit is the extra wide margins, where the notations appear. |

Great pictures, Mind Guerrilla, I've place my order on Amazon. The margins do look a little odd, but I'd rather that than have the written text squeezed into a space too small to read. I'm excited for it to arrive, seems a very different and unique read.

I highly recommend reading it with paperclips... to keep the bits and pieces in place on the pages where they were intended to be found.
There are heaps of notes and postcards that can unexpectedly fall out. Libraries are having a difficult time with this book for that very reason. |
