Creating magic
There are some golden rules when it comes to create magic that I can't promise they ll work for everybody but they work for me; * One of the most common rules is examine all the properties and abilities of any object you hold: Try to hold, feel, push, pull, smell, (even taste if it's an option) any object you hold and pay attention to how it reacts and how you can use this elements in your advance. * Combine different objects together: After the first rule, this is very important. Combine 2 or more different objects and see how they react together. * Find inspiration to everything: Don't limit your self looking for magic only into magic, there is magic in everything. * Believe in mistakes: I discovered a lot of my magic by accident, but I saw the potential and made a trick out of those mistakes, imagine playing with a coin and suddenly it disappears and you can't find it and finally you find it. Here you have two options: a) Say "Oh here is the *** coin, I was looking for it" and put it in your pocket. b) Try to find ways to replicate what happened. (After all you were the first to experience almost real magic when that coin disappeared)

Very interesting - good tips. Wish I was more creative - it's much harder doing your own stuff than doing other people's.

As a bizarrist, I often start by creating the story that I want to tell and the magical events that would be incorporated. Then I start to work on how to accomplish those magical events. This may lead to more ideas and more magic that can be included in the story. Fortunately, I have some friends with whom I can consult and bounce ideas around to come up with an improved solution.
