Gimmickless, as I stated in another thread regarding shipping:
Our INTERNATIONAL shipping options for this particular trick through Canada Post (our company shipping carrier) consists of airmail for aporoximately $20 but does not come with tracking or insurance and has no time guarantee. And the other affordable option is Tracked Parcel which is $50(on average ranging from $47.60 to $55.40) for overseas delivery but includes insurance to cover the trick incase of loss or damage, but also comes with tracking. We will not ship this product unless we can provide insurance, tracking and delivery confirmation. Which is also a new rule with Paypal to protect the sellers(and the buyers) from fraud. This is the method we use. The trick is worth too much just to toss in the mail with no protection or tracking). Please note that shipping with in Canada and the USA is only $25. And if you order more than 1 Tenyo item or any combination thereof, the additional units ship FREE! Also if you knew what it takes to Research , develope and build these, you would understand the price isn't crazy at all and actually on the low end of the industry standard for high end wooden magic effects like this. I have no problem with the price and it is up to each individual seller and buyer to determine if the price if fair. There is no right or wrong in that area.
I'm on the fence on this one as this particular effect is not a favorite of mine and though I admit that it is a classic it is also an effect found in many inexpensive kids magic sets (knock offs of the Tenyo original) so it ends up being an effect that will likely not fool many in my opinion. However as a pure collectable it may have some real merit there. I certainly wish them all the best and think that we owe them our support, espeially if we hope to have future releases that may be more to our liking. |

You will fool kids who already have it with some of the routines in the new Tenyo book (despite what the dimwits elsewhere have to say).
It should be obvious, anyway, that "gimmickless" has a hidden agenda, which is to kiss J. Matzo's keister. |

I'm glad they give you a number of different items yo Zig-Zag as well as routines to do as I was a little worried about the same thing teevtee was. Thanks for the info Richard as it makes me feel much better about my purchase not that I really felt bad on the first place. As I said in another area of the Café this is an iconic Tenyo effect and to be able to get it in a collectible format ( Made out of Lush wood, number of Zig-Zag media, different routines etc) makes it a no brainier to buy whether or not a few folks may know how it works already. I think they did a great job and this is the direction they should keep heading with Tenyo Elite IMHO.. I'm all in!

The craftsmanship looks beautiful, and it appears they did an intricate job making the inner workings as devious as possible. There is a single frame in the demo that is unfortunate, but the anomaly would never be noticed in a live performance. Pretty, collectible, self-working and out of my price range ATM.

I think the routine Richard mentioned was from the book he is writing and not included with the actual effect.
I may be wrong though. |

My book contains many many routines with Tenyo props that are not described in the original instructions. I just got a killer from Tomas Blomberg of Sweden yesterday, and bunch from Kazuyuki Hase today. So, yes, the routines I was referring to with Zig Zag Cig will be in my book.
I made a mistake in my post that I'd like to correct! I wrote, "You will fool kids who already have it ..." and meant to write, "You will fool THOSE who already have it ..." |

I'm nearing 300,000 words in the text. Should finish the text in the next few weeks. Then it's time to take photos and do scanning. Then a few months for layout.

Zig Zag in wood will be terrific, ESPECIALLY, because of the new routines.

I have been thinking about buying this new effect for a few days now ... .
First let me tell you what I personally think about it. I believe Tenyo Elite learned their lesson with this new trick in the way that it is typical, mechanical Tenyo. However I would have prefered a trick that was hard to find or less known. This trick is so widely available in so many different versions (with a pencil, with a skeleton, heck even with a clown!). Even Tenyo remade the trick with a Skeleton a couple of years ago ... . I know it's not (only) about the trick but how well you perform it and what routine you use. Richard telling there will be routines in his book that baffle even people who have seen it before gives me hope it could be a winner. On the other hand I have Tenyo's original version and most likely the routines described in Richard's book will be suitable for this original plastic version. Wood does look better then plastic, but perhaps that's because I collect magic. Will it matter for laymen if you bring out a plastic or wooden version and do the trick? To be honest I doubt it ... . I have a question about this wooden version however. My original version sometimes gets stuck if the parts of the cigarette aren't aligned correctly. Does this new version also have the problem or is it 100% foolproof in its operation? |

Hello all:
First of all, thank you so much for all your continued support, comments and orders! Secondly in regards to Killertweety's question: Our Zig Zag Cig has these small "stoppers" built in so that when the item is in 3 pieces, they will not fall out or jam the unit (please watch the demo video and you'll see what I mean---they don't fall out, and only will spill out from the top of each of the 3 compartments, when you turn it upside down). Also I wanted to let you know a couple of things: Â First, I just heard from our manufacturer, and it looks like these might even be shipping earlier than February 15th! Yay!.....Secondly, we are almost totally sold out, and have just 2 left from our initial first production run----so order yours before it's too late! I don't want to sound overdramatic, but the truth is that depending on interest for future sales, this may in fact be our last run (maybe, possibly, but not for sure). After these are sold, if there is interest in getting one from a second run, then please be sure to contact us. If there is enough interest, then we may do a second and final run, otherwise we are just going to move on to our next release. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks! Best regards, Jason |

Hello all:
Thank you for all of your support and your business! We are now very pleased to announce that our first production run of our Tenyo Elite Zig Zag Cig is now sold out, and will probably be shipping earlier than we thought! We may do what will be a second and final run, depending on the level of interest. If you are truly interested in getting in on this, then please contact us as soon as possible. Thank you again! Best regards, Jason |

How big was the first run and, if there is a second and final run, how big will it be?

Hello all:
Whew! I have finally had a chance to catch up, send confirmation emails to everyone, and now post here! Everyone's Zig Zag Cig shipped yesterday.....However because there is a holiday in Canada on Monday ("Family Day") and a holiday in the USA also ("Presidents Day"), the parcels of course will not go out until Tuesday. I was so blown away by how great these things look and work----even better than the prototype! I have no doubt everyone will love theirs! If you are interested in a possible second and final run, please send us an email at sales@tenyoelite.com (or just fill out the request at http://www.tenyoelite.com), and if and when we do a second run, you will be added to the list, and notified when payment is due for your pre-order. Thank you again everyone for your orders, and your continued support and best wishes! Best regards, Jason |

In another thread it was stated (I believe) that the first run was 250 and a second run would be the same number.
Glad to hear mine is on its way! |
